If FLOYD is in love with MGM...can't he moved the fight date pre-JAIL time?

Just thinking....I think MGM would give him a different date because of the money it would generate, then agree to fight post May 5.

There is always a BIG fight during that date. Why change it? because Bob Arum has a ego? no thanks.

If Floyd moved off that date Bob would just put a fight on that date and the judge moved his jail time because of a obligation for the date with the mgm

are people forgetting the whole reason why floyd has to turn himself in on June 1st? cuz May 5th is already locked in. they gave him a MONTH to recover from injuries before going to jail. If he fights any later than may 5th its gonna make floyd look like a liar to the judge and might end up getting MORE time for lying. i doubt he can ask for an extra month to heal cuz theyre already doing him big favor by postponing his sentence.

on top of that if the fight were on May 25th like pacquiao wants wouldnt u think floyd would want more time to spend with family and friends after a big win? nobody wants that **** on their mind. having your biggest victory then only 5 days left until jail? i wouldnt be able to focus with my sentence so close to fight time.

May 5th is six months from Pac/JMM III. He's been on that exact 6 month-6 month fighting schedule for a couple years now.

Cinco de Mayo weekend is the biggest for fights.

good points. The judge let him postpone because he had a contract to fight on this specific date. How would it look if he changed it

The date and venue are locked (for obvious reasons: legal postponement due to contractual obligations).

That means Floyd is committed to fight on that date and venue.
Plus the date has historical value: countless big fights were staged on that date (for example the biggest fight to this date: Mayweather-DeLaHoya).
Why mess with that for just two weeks??? Why not just step up and accept the challenge? You are getting a record-pay-day plus the opportunity to write history!

Have you not been following this saga.....when Bob Arum thought Mayweather was going to jail guess what day and what venue Pacquiao was going to be fighting on?

Then Mayweather gets his jail time pushed back and all of a sudden Pacquiao cant fight till June?? Come on!

The date and venue isnt the issue here its the damn opponent and his name is Money Mayweather!!!

Only feasible thing I can think of would be to give the date to Canelo-Chavez Jr, or Morales-Marquez. Both fights would be as huge as it gets for Mexicans. That would free up Floyd to fight a couple weeks later vs Pac.

Can you tell me why Pac now cannot fight on May 5th when Bob said he could just over a week ago?

I just dont get it? :huh

There is no reason why he can't. I'm just saying on Mayweather's side that's the only feasible thing they can do to save May 5 for a big fight and allow Mayweather to fight later. Obviously it's not going to happen

There is a reason his jail sentence got postponed to June 1st and not May 6th, he needs time after his fight before going to jail.
