If Floyd isn't scared to fight Pacquiao, then what's the problem?

How can Pac be just another fighter when he keeps shutting out and destroying WW's like no one has done to them before? That's the whole point, Pac is so good that it's unbelievable what he's doing to his opponents, and some people get worried and suspicious. That's why Floyd is asking for the test.

I have a question for you. Why hasn't Pac taken a test yet to dispell those suspicions, in this era of widespread steroid ubuse? He should have been jumping at the opportunity to shut some of these doubters up, and show his integrity, but instead he just goes for other Top Rank fighters, and seems to be dodging blood tests. You see nothing wrong with that?

Anyone that walks away from a 2nd Delahoya fight isnt interested in boxing period. The guy isn't interested in fighting at all. We're talking about a guy that's been in a boxing gym for nearly 30 years. The ONLY reason he came back is because he NEEDED to, as he made bad financial decisions. The JMM & Mosley fights got him back on track. If he still makes bad financial decisions, he will step in that ring again, if he has some sort of control, he may be retired for good

Had Pac taken the 14 day deal, when it was on the table, this question would have already been answered.

    Don King -

"Floyd is definitely losing the PR battle. Bob Arum is so much smarter than these other guys who are involved. He's magnificent man.....these guys aren't smart enough to understand the brilliance of how Arum does business. He already got Margarito signed, sealed and delivered as Pac's next opponent. He's making more money for himself with less risk to his fighter....it's brilliant"

Financially Arum has more interest in making Cotto or MArgo vs Pac. He get's some of both. He get's none of Floyd.

King also mentions his lobster lunch meeting with Floyd. Floyd asked King "how he would make the fight." King told him ".....you want to get an education they can't give you at Harvard Business School, you got to pay tuition"

    Lou DiBella -

"There are alot of factors why this hasn't gotten done.....there's no commissioner or administrative body overseeing the sport so drug testing becomes a negotiation issue rather than an industry issue"

"Maybe Manny is clean, but when you refuse to agree to what the experts say is meaningful testing it raises doubts. I don't know what Mayweather really thinks, but my guess is he believes Manny is dirty because he won't agree to full testing. Because there is no state regulations or blood testing for HGH"

" There's also economic problems. Only so big a number can be done. Even if there's two million PPV buys, when you split it 50-50 it's a problem. Floyd made the lion's share of the money whe he fought Mosley. That's not the case against Pacquaio. If you're getting 80% of 1.4 million PPV buys, 50% of 2.2 million buys is not all that much more"

"Arum can make more money from a Pacquaio v MArgarito fight where he has both sides. His profit margin may be better long term if Manny never fights Floyd"

"Then you add in the hate factor. Al HAymon was part of Mayweather getting away from Arum in the first place. You think Arum wants to deal with Al Haymon, who can be a difficult businessman to deal with? You think Haymon wants to do a deal with Arum? No, they want to WIN the deal, which makes it hard to make the deal"

"It's not out of the question this fight never happens....when neither guys economic survival is dependent on this fight, there's less pressure to make it than people think"

"People say it's irrational not to make this fight. So? This sport is characterised by irrationality. You ever see Lennox Lewis fight Riddick Bowe? Why is this any different?"

13 times after Pac's last loss, fighter after fighter go in the ring with Pac to square off. These were fighters DREAMING that they had Mayweather's genetic (when it comes to boxing skills ONLY!) lineage and tudoring from an early age.

This is the ALL TIME GREATEST BOXER and he's afraid to step in the ring with a one dimensional fighter over at best a CYNICAL blood testing ploy and at worst truly afraid of losing his zero.

Oh, Floyd if only your rhetoric matched your actions... :smoke

It's the big possiblity that will lose his 0 loss. Moreso now, when he saw how Pac demolished bigger fighters than him like Margarito, Cotto and Clottey whom he had ducked.

This post make a lot of sense. I think interest in the loser of this fight will plummet, by the casual fans. The perceived invincibility of each sells tickets and PPV's. Without that...demand will die, significantly, from what it is now. For Pac, he has his country to support him. But, the fringe fans will move on to the next enigma. Floyd has no such support. His star will fall precipitously, as the result of a loss, IMO.

i dont know what the **** is so hard to understand about there being random testing seriously, he said pac takes test then they"ll fight if pac doesnt then no fight plain and simple.. and random means anytime wether a week before the fight or the day of the ****ing fight, its that simple n pac fans and everyone who hates on floyd find any reason to hate on floyd, i dont give a **** about pac or floyd i dont even care if they fight, if they do ya ill watch duh, if they dont it doesnt matter its all bs already but everytime i read this kind of **** about floyd being afraid and " what is the problem, why wont floyd fight pac." its ridiculous how fkn blind people can be seriously.. floyd will take all the same tests pac will, so why the fk cant pac agree to it, nothing to hide then there should be no problem

Floyd is not mentally prepared to face a man that you must absolutely go to war with. Styles make fights no possible way Floyd at his age can outbox Manny.
Pac is willing to go toe to toe or do anything possible to land 3-4 laser sharp punches 20-30 times a round.
The Philly style will be suceptable to a southpaw that can move side to side and throw punches in the spots it cannot block. manny mixes it up so much it feels like there are 6 hands to watch. Combine that with moving in the opposite direction.

Not an easy fight. Not the type of fighter Floyd want's any part of. Pac too hungry.

Agree completely. It really can't be any clearer to see the denial of some of these fans or haters. If Pac agrees to Floyd's demand, in the form of a signed contract, and Floyd has some, unacceptable, reason for not taking the fight, he's ducking...period. It's really that simple. Anything else is speculation...and unfairly labeling the man as a "coward", "ducker", etc.
