If Floyd isn't scared to fight Pacquiao, then what's the problem?

The guy ain't on roids. he has no buisness demanding something he never asked for or said a word about ever in his career to one opponent.
he has no history of doing anything extra or cleaning up the integrity of the sport. If anything he put on shows vs guys who had the perfect style for the easiest fight possible. If they were tough he would only fight them if they were old or had some other type of "at the now" disadvantage.

How do YOU know he is not? He has NO BUSINESS? Says who? The Commission? No...sorry. The Commission said the testing is as negotiable as gloves, purse, C/Ws, etc. Come down off the high horse, man. If he HAD NO BUSINESS...he wouldn't be able to do it....period.

Who cares if he has no HISTORY of asking anyone else. That is a moral argument. It means NOTHING in the grand scheme of things. He feels a need to ask it NOW...so he did. Manny did not have a HISTORY of fighting at C/Ws either until he demanded one from Cotto--after he had just beat ODLH, at the WW limit.

That's how you do it and Arum is a shrewd BS man...I mean businessman.
Don King knows all about that because he's like that too. They do what they are suposed to do, which is make the most money possible, with strategic matchmaking and hype. Somebody gets hurt in the process though, whether it's the star fighters, or the seriously overmatched fighters who just go in for the payday, or true fans who want to see meaningful fights. How many fighters claimed that King ripped then off?

Arum and Pac cash in with all these inhouse fights, but true boxing fans get cheated out of the best fights. People still keep buying BS fights though, so there's no pressure on them to get the real fights made.

Apparently, Mayweather does not like countdowns!!!!

When Bob Arum put a countdown timer as to the time Mayweather will sign the contract, Mayweather just packed his bag, sling it across his shoulders, put on his lipstick and turn his back, with Ellerbe holding him firmly, too firmly!:lol::barf

Floyd's almost two years older than Pac and well past his prime, IMO. He's not the slick boxer he once was. He's flat footed now and can't seem to get out the way of fast punches; forty year old Mosley almost knocked his ass out. He also can't punch at 147. He'll get KTFO'd in two rounds by Pacquaio because he won't have the physical strength to keep Pac off of him. The fight will look like a replay of Martinez vs Williams. That's why Floyd is in no hurry to fight.

As I see it both fighters are use to getting thier way when it comes to all the pre fight stuff, but in the case of making a fight between the two niether really seems willing to really concede anything to the other. I think that all true fans see this to be the case. However you have Floyd fans and Pac fans that arent REALLY boxing fans that make all the noise about ducking and scared and all the other stupid comments that these morons make. These guys are pros and arent scared to fight ANYONE. Its more about pride and neither wanting to give ground.

The thing that makes it double unlikely that the fight will ever happen is Arum, everyone should know the relationship between Arum and Floyd. Arum hates Mayweather so much that he walked away from the fight with Oscar, which turned out to be the biggest money fight in the history of boxing. With a history like that I find it hard to believe that people truely think that Arum wants to make this fight happen.

now this is absurd... floyd still got those reflexes and his feet is faster than pac but the handspeed is about equal but pacquiao has more power.

floyd has the tools to defeat pac but not that easy though thats why hes having second thoughts.

This article is very true. The reason I don't think this fight has been signed is simply the legal issues. The 2nd negotiations broke down because Roger was facing jail time and Floyd, understandably, wouldn't have wanted to enter the fight without his trainer. I don't see it happening next because Floyd's facing 34 years in jail and is in court in January, so I wouldn't say he's ducking Pacquiao as he won't be fighting anyone until these issues are resolved. Of course he'll realise that Pacquiao's the guy out there most likely to take his 0, but I genuinely don't think that a fear of losing would stop this fight happening on Mayweather's part. The article above makes a lot of sense, and its completely right that there's more reasons to this fight not being made then simply Floyd not wanting it, or Manny refusing testing or whatever.
