If Floyd isn't the draw vs Pacman, why is everyone calling for the fight?

Hatton did **** all ppv's against anyone else...he did 925k against PBF when he was undefeated, 850k against Pac when he was no longer undefeated. Wow big difference. JMM's biggest PPV number previously was a SFW at 425k, it was record breaking for a fight in a weight category that low, he did 1mil against Floyd. Cotto's biggest ppv numbers previously was around 400k too, either against SHane or Margo...against Pac he did 1.25mil at $54.95!

Okay silly question but did Puerto Ricos ppv sales get counted into Pac/Cotto numbers or not?

ok, here it is plain and simple:

the brand "Floyd" is worth more $$$ then the brand "Pacman". Alot of boxing fans dont like it like that, but thats how it is. The public and casual fan who make these PPV's big, will buy the fight more so because of Floyd. Maybe not a whole lot more, but more. Thats why a 50-50 split isnt going to work. The numbers dont lie, thats all we have to go off of. Floyd isnt just coincidentally involved in the biggest PPV fights by chance.

pac cotto did 1.25. floyd only has one fight that did better, against delahoya. floyd pac would likely beat floyd delahoya, because floyd would be fighting pacquiao.

Floyd is the bigger draw based on numbers with common opponents. That said, I hope they just do 50/50 and make it happen.

It's all about the 0, that's what attracts people and will always attract them hoping to see him possibly lose or come close to it. Even his biggest fans feel that they would like to see how he will react to a loss or a bad situation during the fight like being knocked down or seriously hurt and try to come back. That's what it's all about and the more Mayweather brings it up the more fans tune in to laugh, support/agree or hope to see him get face knocked off when the bell rings. If that 0 goes A LOT will change and even though the support will remain and might increase like it did with Ali it will always remind fans.

I personally don't give a damn who's the draw or any of that bullcrap, I just hope they sign the fight or shut the hell up. The interest is hitting the roof at this stage and is only keeping fans frustrated, people want to see it signed already, all the talk/promotion is OVER with, NOTHING more left to promote it with. Either make it or **** off the entire boxing and sport fanbase, A LOT of fans, boxing or not, will tune in for this.

NOT HOW IT WORKS...COTTO IS MUCH MORE KNOWN AND IF YOU COMPARE HIS AND JMM PPV THERE IS NO COMPARISON REALLY..

JMM DID 100K THE ONE TIME HE HEADLINED WITH CASAMAYOR...:rofl COTTO DID 500K WITH TONY...TONY HAD NEVER HEADLINED A PPV AS JOEL DIDN'T EITHER........HMMMMMM:think ...COMPARE THE OPPONENTS TOO...NOT JUST THE FIGHTERS...

SURE PAC DID MORE BUYS AT A HIGHER RATE...HE ALSO HAD A GUY WHO DID MORE PPV'S THAN JMM...:deal

Its the most meaningful fight right now. Im a Pacfan and i believe Pac should have the bigger cut because of his current stature and contribution to the sport. But since i want this fight to push thru, its 50/50 because both camps will not bow down. They will want a bigger share win or lose.

like you said Pac's legacy is set. It would be an honor to fight him.
