IF Floyd loses to Pacquiao, is there still a reason for him to continue boxing?

    - he already have all the money in the world.
    - he's a multi-titled boxer, one of the best of this generation.
    - he has no more 49-0 record to break.
    - he's not TBE after all.

No more reason I can think of, maybe except for a rematch fight with Pacquiao or to fulfill his Showtime contract (which he can easily buy-out anyway).

Those are two huge reasons for why he would continue fighting. And why would he buy himself out of Showtime contract? That makes no sense.

Yes. He would have to redeem himself.

If he lost and then retired it would look like Pacquiao chased him out of boxing, him packing his bags after his first loss wouldn't be a good look.

What if Pacquiao retires after the fight (PAC too has no more reason to continue boxing :D ) or won't grant Floyd a rematch (remember, there's no rematch clause for this fight).

I don't think he would want to retire on a loss and might need to fight a bit to keep himself from committing suicide

If he does come back, who would he come back against if not Paquiao?

At this very moment, Floyd already declared he's TBE win or loss against Pacquiao (that's according to him). Why would TBE will try to redeem against someone lower than TBE?

Even if he loses to Pacquiao, he's still better than Pacquiao (that's according to him). I think Floyd will stand with that claim of his.

Even if Pacquiao doesn't agree to rematch, he can still get a guaranteed $32M from his Showtime contract.

So you think more money will still motivate him to continue boxing? I don't think so. What is $32M to him? He has so much money already.

That's a lot of money. He could fight some chump and collect an easy 8 figures, and go out with a win.

I don't know how Floyd would handle bowing to Arum in subsequent contract negotiations should a rematch occur, taking 40 percent. In that light I can see him pulling a Hagler and retiring, although I doubt it.
