would he be getting as much derision as what Broner is getting now??

i believe so. floyd has built himself on being hated for so long that if it happens there will be euphoria for all the non-*****s.

what do you guys think...how will you celebrate this occasion if it happens?? :think

******* parade. Wait nvm, there really will be nothing to celebrate as Pac already got knocked out by a 39 year old Marquez.

The same Marquez who Floyd shut out.

The only people who should celebrate is Andre Ward and his fans, as he would ascend to #1 p4p and probably make better paydays as a result.

it doesn't have to be pac because i don't think floyd will fight him. i just want to see floyd's co cky ass get beaten down like broner's.

It depends, regular boxing fans would realize that if Floyd lost as bad as Broner, it would most likely be due to age and not skill. Notice I said, "as bad as Broner". Because even if he lost, I don't think it'd be that bad. Mayweather's guard is tighter than Broner, and he knows how to roll, twist, and turn while in the shell EVEN on the ropes in tight spaces. But when you see Broner go into the shell he leaves open angles, doesn't roll well against the ropes, and gets hit too much. Floyd doesn't, Floyd tucks his arms TIGHT. So if Floyd got beat down in a fight as bad as Broner did, people would deduce it to him being out his prime. Whereas Broner is mid 20's and got whooped. Plus Mayweather has more longevity, Broner doesn't even have 30 professional bouts yet.

I think Mayweather would be more humble in defeat, kinda like Pacquiao.

People would hate but nothing can take away Floyd's accomplishments at this stage.

Do people really still see Broner as some protoype to Mayweather?

    The guy has :

    1. No Jab
    2. Low punch output
    3. Terribe Defence
    4. Shaky whiskets
    5. little power at 147
    6. no footwork
    7. slower head movement]
    8. complete arrogance
    9. no ring IQ whatsoever
    10. Bad balance

Mayweather is better in every department than Broner, and im no ***** I think Floyd is up himself saying hes greater than Robinson, Leonard, Hearns who would destroy Floyd all be it those 3 were much larger fighters

Still that being said I can only see Manny having little success early against floyd due to his speed which would then be adjusted to open him up to counters and being completely outboxed by floyd for 9-10 rounds.

I respect both fighters for what they do in the ring, not what they do outside of it but my honest opinion is Floyd UD Manny 117-111 / 118-110 based on how Manny was outfoxed by a smaller counter puncher in Marquez who unlike Floyd prefers to turn his fights into Brawls and leaves himself open

Manny hasnt looked as good as he has in the past, Floyds looked the same if not better

Manny struggles with Bradley, gets a gift vs Marquez and gets knocked out
Mayweather squared off with a heavier Cotto, Dominated Guerrero and beat down Alvarez

Im sticking with Mayweather until im proven wrong

have you seen floyd fights southpaws? tell me if he is countering them or not.

how can leonard, hearns, robinson be bigger than floyd if they come exactly at the weight class limit floyd will come in at?

didnt floyd already fought some 5'11-6'0 guy?

floyd wouldnt even fight pac and margo and he is going to step in against these guys?

duran was right, in their era floyd will just be another good fighter like his dad.

the pac that beat rios will have the stamina for 12rds.

there is nothing in floyd's offense that will make pac think twice and floyd wont be sitting on his punches, he will be moving for 12 rounds which i dont think he can.

    youre comparing pac-marques to floyd-marquez.

floyd and marquez are both counterpunchers, that's it.

floyd doesnt have the chin that marquez has, so he wont plant his feet and trade with pac.

if marquez has floyd's chin, it would be over in the first round in their first fight. simple as.

if you want to see how the fight would play out, watch floyd's fights with soutpaws, then comeback here and report what you see.

what the broner showed is the philly shell is vulnerable to the left. like floyd has trouble with cottos jab, with dela hoya's jab. both tired in the course of the fight. pac in rios figght can go 36mins.

and pac stuggled with bradley, lmao.

pac looked bored in there. 99pct of the people that watched had pac comfortably ahead.

If Floyd lost bad, he would get his fair share of gloating haters, but no one
can deny that Floyd has been the most gifted boxer of his generation. You
can hate his style of fighting, you can hate his personality, you can hate his
selection of opposition, but real boxing fans cannot hate his skills.

Floyd deserves a lot of respect for his boxing skills, loss or no loss.

Floyd almost got beat that bad(minus the knockdowns and being rocked repeatedly), against Castillo the first time. To a lesser extent he took Ls in the split decision win against Oscar and the Cotto fight.
It would take Floyd getting knocked thru the ropes and doing the stinky leg a few times like Broner for him to get clowned.
