If they start negotiating a fight next year (fat chance) and it get down to revenue split, should be even for both fighters or 80-20 for Floyd?

Base your answer on what the boxers have accomplished within the last year or so.

If the choices are 50/50 or 80/20, then that should let you know that 50/50 is not gonna happen.

Manny should hope Floyd offers him 40 million again from his pocket. I'm a fan of both but at this point Floyd should earn the lions share. I do still hope this fight happens even at this stage.

Winner gets 60-65% loser gets 40-35%.

It doesn't have to be complicated. The winner of the fight deserves more.

Why would you think Floyd would give up any leverage to Pac and Arum..
Pac would be lucky to get a 60-40 or even a 70-30 after last night.

Why the snide comment? Tennis players and golfers just to name to individual sports get paid by how they do in a particular tournament why couldn't these two do the same? Tiger doesn't get paid just because of his name, when he enters a tournament he has to produce.

So in a similar vein why not let the winner receive the lion's share of the revenues?

Because in case you haven't been paying attention 70% of nothing is nothing and that's what he's got so far. I don't really care who gets **** in this fight, I just want to see it happen.

But apparently you're happy spending the rest of your life talking about why the fight never happened and who should have gotten what. Nothing wrong with the winner receiving more than the loser in my eyes. And it's not like either fighter is going to starve if the fight never happens.

I said that to make a point. It's a bad idea to have the winner get the higher share when you have judges like C.J. Ross around and promoters like Bob Arum around.

I'm sure you could get three judges both fighters agree with, if that's the issue, and why wouldn't that be an issue regardless of the split?

Because it becomes an even bigger concern if the fighter's pay are directly linked to the judges's cards. There's more incentive to fix the cards and there's more consequences if a bad decision is read.

It's easy to see that Floyd deserves more money now. If you want to look at revenue earned, ppvs sold, tickets sold, current standing in boxing, all things point toward Floyd getting the bigger split.
