I'll be impressed. All the more if he were to win by KO.

alot of floyd fans were discrediting the win, saying mosley was 37 and shot.

I see this to be a clear cut win for Floyd but id give him props since there still a bit amount of risk he's taking compared to his previous fights.. He'll school him but definitly won;t knock him out.

    IF

    a) its close and floyd wins- people will say floyd should have done more- and that shane was past it- and in his prime mosley would have handled floyd.
b)if its not close shane will be said to have been old- and floyd wont get credit for that either .

basically floyds in a tough spot as always. the only way floyd get maxtill gets beaten cvoNAWQ props is if he knocks shane out- which is hard to do as we know

    OR

if shane fights real well- but still gets beaten convincingly by floyd- such as how the judah -floyd fight turned out- minus the melee . floyd will get credit for that .

thats the tough thing about being so good- and having too big a mouth. for as good as floyd is- his mouth claims more than he can possibly delver. hes no ali in that regard- he dosent match his own hype.

its the problem with trash- u can overrate yourself. if he shut up and fought like he does- he d be so much more admired and beloved.

at the end of the day though- ALL fighters win for a reason and all fighters that lose- lose for a reason. you can make any fight in history skew with this kind of logic. but history wont remember that **** 10 years down the line. they ll remember shane- the welter champ taking on floyd- the undefeated p4p top dog. thats all.

after all the crap that goes on discrediting wins, and justifying losses- eventually you gotta give one guy the credit- both credit- but one guy the glory. one guy gets the w and one the L. . they both signed up for it- they both trained- if they themselves dont give excuses for their wins and losses- why do we seem to always.

i mean if shane loses- i guarantee he wont say- i was over the hill - and past it-
he ll say he got beaten by the better man on the night.

we should all have as much class when it comes to giving these guys their due props.

only a few men in the world will step in the ring and fight- and fewer to this level and success. imagine lebron being undefeated at bball at 32- playing 40 games and losing none- and kobe being a top champ at 37 by beating a much larger and younger dwight howard for example. . not likely right? thats what these guys are doing.

Not really. If this was 10 or even 5 years ago, yes. But Mosley is old

That's not what I said. I think Floyd will win 8 rounds, I expect him to win, but only because Shane is old. I'm not going to be surprised or impressed at all. People on here seem to be impressed already, just for the fact that Floyd is actually going to fight a full sized welterweight.

Of course some will. But they are the irrational fans. But as the poll results show, the vast majority will give respect.

I expect Mayweather to dominate the fight. That being said, Mosley is the best competition that Floyd has fought in years. He will definitely get credit from me, but, I won't be crowing that he beat some 27 year old, prime Shane Mosley. The guy is 38 for ****'s sake.
