That's just the way it is.

Every one fighting back and forth on here about who's ducking who, who's scared, etc, doesn't matter. You're just sticking up for your guy because you're scared they can lose, and instead of hyping this fight because you're confident your guy can win, you would rather blast the guy you don't back and say they're scared or ducking the other. The unbiased reality is It's a 50/50 match and anyone who says anything different has nothing but an agenda to push.

Neither guy is scared. These fighters have fought everyone; beat everyone. Neither is scared of anything. Both men are at the top of the game and the only thing holding this fight back is politics.

Both camps can win, but they're both scared they will lose, so they are playing politics, and instead of doing what they can to make this fight happen to save boxing and put boxing in the forefront of the general sports consciousness, they're doing all they can to make it appear that each other camp is trying to NOT make the fight happen. It's despicable. The promoters on both sides are more occupied with talking points pertaining to why the other camp won't take this fight instead of focusing on why both camps SHOULD take the fight.

Look, boxing is in bad shape. There's no doubt about it. Even with promoters attempting to create new stars, it's just not happening. People don't care about boxing right now outside of a couple key fights between aging names, and the best fight to make is Floyd/Pac. This fight will put boxing in the forefront of the sports stratosphere; it will put boxing in the public's consciousness. People who have never seen a boxing bout in their life will buy this fight and if it's a classic fight or has a definitive outcome, regardless of who wins or loses, it's a WIN for the sport. Pac and May aren't getting any younger and they will never be as popular as they are now, and if the only reason you don't want this fight to happen is because you're scared your guy may lose, then shame on you. The sport needs this fight.

This not making fights happen because we're scared our guy will lose is not happening in MMA, the sport breathing down boxing's neck. And that's why MMA has taken over the combat sports mantle; because they're making fights happen. They're not playing politics, they're just putting the best against the best and letting the pieces fall where they may.

When and IF the fight happens, whoever loses will feel a sting and it will hurt in the short term, but if they don't fight, it will hurt 100X more in the long term. Tommy Hearns lost to both Hagler and Leonard, and he's doing a-okay in hindsight. The losses were tough on him in the short term, but in hindsight, he's doing a-okay and is considered a warrior and an all-time great. The same will happen to whoever loses Floyd/Pac. But if the fight never happens -- why it didn't happen is the only question either will be asked for the rest of their careers, and that's only if people give a crap about boxing in the future and even care to get an interview with these two men, and that depends highly on whether or not this fight happens.

This fight has to happen, not for Floyd or Pac, but to save the sport of boxing. Win or lose, the repercussions of the fight NOT happening far outweigh whatever result this fight brings. Floyd and Pacs career and legacy mean little in the grand scheme of things. It's nothing but an ending footnote in the illustrious history of what may be a dying sport if this bout doesn't happen.

50/50 split on revenue, put it in the biggest arena possible and charge $79.99 a pop on PPV. How difficult is that? Whoever wins and whoever loses will only matter in the short term, but if nobody wins and nobody loses, because the fight never happens, then Eff boxing. It deserves to have its biggest fights to happen in 1500 person halls on reservation Indian casinos in Tuskaloosa, Alabama and the only way you can follow RbR is by hitting up the one guy on Twitter who's at the fight.

If either of these guys fight anyone but each other in their next bout, just put a nail in the coffin of boxing, because it's done and it's all because of politics, because neither guy is scared to fight the other.

Who's the worm? Oh, is that some cute nickname you came up with in order to discredit the one who isn't your guy because you'd rather the fight not happen because you're scared your guy might lose instead of wanting the fight to happen because you're confident your guy will win?

Boxings in good shape with fans like you.

Did you guys see that one interview? Floyd was talking about Pac and was saying stuff like:

Bobby was the chosen brother. Manny's just the afterbirth. Slithered out his mother's filth. He should've been placed in a glass jar on the mantle-piece.
