when is the earliest it can happen? First half of 2014? Second half of 2014? 2015+?

and is pacquiao free to move between the hbo and showtime networks, or does he have a contract with hbo?:think:huh

I wish it would happen after their 2 fights coming up, Pacquiao will look like a beast against Rios and Mayweather will school Canelo, i think they will both look the best they have in a while due to their opponents

It would almost as great as the circumstances in 2009 when Floyd just beat Juan and pacquiao just beat Cotto.

The Mexican fanbase will be all aboard as these two just beat two Mexican stars.

Doesn't matter, Floyd will never fight a Bob Arum fighter. Why would that change?

Cotto leaves Arum and a fight is easily made with Floyd.

Canelo and Floyd was made when they both have huge egos.

Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather will not do business.

Exactly, I think this is really the last chance saloon for it to happen
Mayweather will do what he does best and box circles around Canelo
Pac will do what he does best and hit Rios with 5-6 punch combinations

If they wait any longer Pac will end up fighting Bradley again and look vulnerable and Mayweather might fight Alexander and it will just be a **** fight

If Alvarez gets paid enough, maybe that'll entice pacquiao to man up and leave his daddy bob arum.

I wish, but Bobby owns him.

Pac may look like a beast against Rios, but I think his camp is a mess. Roach has lost control and Manny is sliding fast. I hope he has a last hurrah and can go out a winner, but he may have at most 2-3 fights left in him and I would be surprised if Bob kept him against young TR fighters to cash him out.

Someone said - I think PBFred - that Arum was being surprisingly complimentary of Floyd for fighting Alvarez and was sort of giving off the vibe that he may want to actually put Pacquiao up to make a fight soon and cash out.

Late 2014. Beat Rios and then beat Bradley, officially.

I dont think a Pac-Floyd fight will be that big (although still the biggest out there) if Pac doesn't first avenge his loss, a win over Rios demolition or not isn't gonna wipe out those 2 losses all of a sudden. I doubt JMM will have the balls to rematch Pac again, he wants to leave that rivalry on a high and even though Pac clearly beat Bradley last time, beating him officially and avenging a loss would signify that he's "back" to the public.

Pacquiao's legs are shot so not sure how much longer he's gonna stay, I think he will end his career in 2014.

No it wouldn't. Nothing will ever be the same as 2009 when both were at or near their prime.

I'm hoping this fight can take place in spring 2014. Assuming Pac and Floyd both have dominating wins, this fight would be juicy as hell.

I have no interest in this fight anyway. One Pac is a non factor and two Pac is still asleep.

With Floyd's "Six dates in thirty months" contract with Showtime, there is absolutely no reason to expect it would have to be much later than early 2014, very next date after Canelo.

He is fight to fight, not tied down I believe.
