He's not going to step into the octagon. He's not a K.O. artist or a MMArtist. He'd get tackled, held, and pummeled. He's a boxer boxer for Christ's sake. Totally different skill-set.
1. Floyd is not considered TBE by anybody except himself and his Fl0mos. And it's because of his business decisions, not his resume. 2. McGregor is not one of the best fighters in MMA. He's just the most popular. He cuts massive weight to fight smaller guys and he's been given very favorable matchups to disguise his lack of any ground game. All he has is a solid left hand, which works well when you're fighting bums who are smaller than you. 3. If it happens, it's going to be a boxing match. No way Floyd gets in the cage.
It's a circus freak show and I don't even think sensible "casuals" would say this is a good fight. It's an MMA fighter Vs A truly gifted boxer, there is only one outcome in a boxing ring. It will be a completely one sided humiliation. Mayweather should just come back and give Broner a beating, at least Broner is a boxer.
If this fight actually happens it'll be conformation that the Fertitta's are selling the UFC. A fight like this does nothing but delegitimize the sport of mma. It's obvious that they are no longer looking to build the brand and are just looking to make a ton of cash before packing up shop. The writing was on the wall when they did the reebok deal.
I don't know why Ward would spar him and say his boxing is good then. He definitely outjabbed McGregor, rolled with his punches, countered with his hook, and then took him out with his straight left.
