Lets say Floyd wins an unexciting one-sided UD against JMM, and retires.

It would be crystal clear that Floyd only came back for 1 easy fight to get himself out of trouble with the IRS.

What will your thoughts be of him afterwards? Sympathy, anger, apathy? (this question goes out particularly to floyd fans)

that doesnt mean hes obligated to fight 5 fights, it just means if he does fight 5 more times it has to be under GBP.

Tho I'm not really a Floyd fan, I can say his comeback is only for the $15 million purse if he retires again after the JMM fight...

I won't accuse him of ducking/avoiding someone coz we all know he's been doing that most of the time...

As a Pac fan, i wouldn't want him to retire after the JMM fight for the obvious reasons. If he does retire, then he will be vilified/crucified by a lot of boxing fans.

He signed for a 5 fight deal, if retires (yet again) after an unexciting win against JMM then he is really a *****.

What do you want me to say?

You never know, maybe this 5 fight contract is a stunt to bring in more PPV buys. People will buy it to see how Mayweather looks after the long layoff and to make analysis of how Floyd matches up with other elite fighters around his weight thinking he will continue to fight afterwards, but then BAM!!! Floyd retires.

if he retires, then we'll just wave him good luck and good times. Regardless of his extra-curriculars, he was one great boxer when he stepped in the ring.

.... that will be my attitude once I calm down.

even after he pays off his debts, he still has 40 years of living to pay for. I don't think he's retiring any time soon
