If Floyd retired tomorrow, would you rank him ATG p4p, whatever, above Marciano?

    Mayweather ranks higher.

Marciano is an overrated bum-beater who fought in a terrible era and was only good at out-slugging washed up old champs

Bull****. The result is what it is, because Floyd refuses to fight the best contenders. Do I think he would beat Pac? Hell yes, but if he refuses the fight, he is no champion and deserves no recognition, he deserves only to be forgotten until we have champions more deserving of the title.

Marciano was the best because he beat the best. This is something Floyd repeatedly refuses to even try. But I see Floyd now leads the poll. I guess fans today are happy to be told by the media who the champ is, instead of seeing it in the ring.

Interesting question. Marciano's record is studded with big names but some of them were over the hill. Floyd's best competition was Corrales who was obviously weight drained and DLH, who was past his prime. Hard to say.

As much as I hate to say it, Floyd has fought much higher LOC, and Marciano beat a lot of bums en route to his perfect record. Not his fault, but his biggest fight was against a guy, Louis, who was 3-4 yrs past his best.:-(

nah....after he scooped the WW title he locked himself in the top 50 (many lists had him top 50 before this like ESPN for instance but wouldn't expect you to know this as you weren't watching boxing at this time.... you were proly still feeding off your moms teet), everything after is icing on the cake that pushes him higher on the list...again you're missing the point....Rock is not top 50....not even sure if I'd have him top 75.
