In my books that will place him at #1 P4P. Also, if he beat Martinez the burden of making the fight will definitely fall upon Pacquiao.

at 147 or 150, it's hard to give both pac and floyd credit for defeating sergio. at 154 even, if sergio shows up in great form and still losses to floyd, that should be silence all critics.

If Floyd skip Pac and beats God himself... he is still ducking Pac.

I think so. If Floyd beat Martinez, then he would automatically become #1 P4P without beating Pacquiao.

It would be a cheap way to get it, of course that's the Mayweather way. Guess it depends how he does it. Paul Williams had a close fight with Martinez at 154. Mayweather outpointing him in a close fight would not be enough IMO, also considering his inactivity and having only one other real significant win over Mosley in the past 4 years, whereas Pac has a few.

Floys is the best fighter in the world thats what pfp is. Just because he took time off doesnt mean he is not the best fighter

naw, floyd's not taking that fight now. he wants fighters who are coming off wins so he can market them as young hungry lions

Nothing here is about his time off. People won't recognize him as #1 P4P Unless he beats Pac or Martinez.

Im just basing it off of the fact that he will take on opponents that Pac wont. At 152~154 this fight will place him back up if its a clear UD and put a lot of pressure on manny to make the fight happen.

Atleast it will prove to me that he is not scared/ducking pacman.
