Duran vs Leonard 1: Brawler w/boxing skills vs slick master boxer. Although Leonard was more willing to take risks and engage than Floyd has shown the similarities are there. PAC is a brawler but he's got some really serious skills that he's working with. Of course we all know that Ray was able to avenge the loss to Duran but could we see PAC winning the initial encounter with Floyd...then be blessed with #2 and #3 where Floyd uses his footwork and skills to out box Manny? Ray had to adjust in the other fight with Roberto and took far less risks...to the point were Duran gave up b/c Ray wouldn't engage like he did in the initial encounter. I'm sure it won't play out that way but hey....one never knows in this sport.

Then 90% of Floyd's fights would be considered boring. He has been in so many mis matches throughout his career its almost funny. It's not all his fault given the fact that we are talking about Floyd Jr. His talent and skills for a long time were only matched by a Prime Roy Jones Jr and now PAC and neither one of them have the skills Floyd is working with.

The same can be siad for Pac he has never fought anyone in his career that is as fast or complte as PBF. The last time he fought a counter-puncher he arguably lost. Now he's up against a bigger stronger faster better defensive fighter in PBF you do the math.:deal

Gatti too! With that said.....when Floyd goes out there and take RISKS...its when he KNOWs his oposition offer up very little in terms of actually being able to hurt or win against him. Corley, Mitchell, Ndou, Gatti...all B to B+ level guys. Floyd is an ELITE.

SRL also fought a dumb fight and was lured into a brawl we all saw what happened in the rematch when SRL fought his fight he made Duran quit. PBF is the smartest fighter in the game he won't be lured into a brawl and will do anything to win even at the expense of making it a boring fight. He'll fight his fight and if need be he will get on his bike to win and if he does that there's really nothing pac could do to stop it.:deal

Also for every SRL-Duran 1 there's 10 more of the exact opposite. History favors the boxer defensive-counter puncher over the brawler more times than not and it's easy to see why. The Defensive counter-puncher has solid defense and are more complete having more ways to win they also capitalize off the mistakes the brawler makes while not giving them anything back in return. Defense is one of the most underrated things in boxing and if PBF-Pac happens Pac will find out what historians all know is that it wins championships and he will also find out what PBF's previous 39 opponents found out that PBF is a very hard guy to hit clean.

Not to pull your card.....but you are bull shitting yourself if you say you don't care about excitement. We don't watch boxing for the purpose of being bored. There are boring fights in boxing....just like there are boring events in any sport. But fans appreicate "GIFTED" fighters even in matches that are "boring". They show flashes of greatness and showcase incredible skills...even only in spots. Floyd falls into this category. He has the ability to make fan freindly or exciting fights..he just chooses to go for the "W". And who can blame him? I don't, but some hard core fans feel fighters owe them by letting it all hang out. Floyd stays cool and isn't ruffled by boos or critics claiming he fights safety first. It's his health and life..I appreciate his skills, talent and what he brings to boxing in terms of his "persona". Its needed just like guys like PAC are needed.

I agree that Floyd is the most intelligent boxer in the game. But he has been lured into brawls agaisnt lesser foes....Corely for one and Floyd got buzzed. Of course Chop wasn't able to capitolize on floyds eagerness to engage, but he may not have a choice with a style like PAC...he may HAVE to fight if only in spots where PAC forces the issue and there is no way else but to fight.

But I tend to agree with your opinion of the fight. Floyd is one cool customer in the ring. He Talks a lot outside of it but he won't be forced to fight a fight where it puts him at any greater risk than by simply stepping foot in a ring. What I think is Floyd will win...but PAC will definitley make him work! And I think we'll see Floyd having some early difficulites adusting to the speed and southpaw stance of Manny. Like he did with Judah early on. Floyd can adjust and that is where I think he'll end up pulling this one out....but it won't be a cake walk!

Dinamita went out for some dinner, actually. Unlike you I don't spend all day every day masturbating like a frenzied animal over General Forum threads about Pretty Boy Floyd. :good

I still think the basic point does have validity.

Judah is a speedy southpaw, and he managed to give Floyd some tricky rounds.

Pacquiao is a speedy southpaw with a bit more to his game.

Therefore, he will give Mayweather a more difficult fight.

    It's just logic.

PAC doesn't need to fight in the same manner that Zab does in order to loose against Floyd or to present similar challenges to Floyd for that Matter. He just needs to have the natrual qualities and gifts that Zab has, which PAC has as well. That is speed, reflexes and a southpaw stance.

Thank you for not being a dick!:good B/c "arguably" means **** in boxing unless it's an out right robbery we are discussing. The same goes with the word "IF" when it pertains to boxing. Bottom line is PAC is going to present Floyd with challenges he's never seen before or challenges he's had trouble with in the past.

The same goes with PAC...he's never faught a guy as skilled or as equally talented as himself. PAC has been in some wars and has overcome adversity. Floyd not so much due to his incredible skills, natrual boxing instincts and talent. Of course that is NOT floyds fault. But as a fan I want to see Floyd in a real fight! That will be what he needs in order to get some kind of appreication from the masses. he doesn't have to loose but he needs to be able to be in a real fight where he has to overcome serious challenges to prove his championship heart, will and determination. We already know he's got championship level skills. But the most remmebers and appreciated fighters proved that they have all the above.

Judah is a speedy southpaw who is also a counter puncher. PAcquiao is a speedy boxer who borders on brawler.

    Totally different.

Pac loves to mix it up. That is evident. Thats why he's a border line brawler. He has loads of boxing ability, but primarily he likes a scrap and will forgo technique alot of times to get into a brawl.

Thats not even close to the type of guy judah is.

And please post the sentence where I said Pac is similar to Judah in any way other than stance and pace.
