If Floyd went to down 135 to fight Marquez would you still be mad?

This is the problem that roughly half the boxing fanbase either knowingly ignores or is just too stupid to see. Floyd is not fearless, he needs little advantages like this built into his fights to guarantee in his mind that he will win. It's not enough that he's the favored fighter, or that he would probably win anyways. look at the hatton fight - he had to do it at 147 and with Cortez. And since he now insists on fighting at 147 (which he will probably do against pacman), when is he going to fight an 147lb-er?

    How is it an advantage?

marquez and floyd are lbs apart.

DLH weighed 149 on fight night. Or lower. He never added weight.

Cutting is not healthy but fighters can do it.

Basically what you are saying is. It's unfair that Floyd doesn't have to cut weight.

That was a catch weight and the weighed him when he was fully clothed.

    Mayweather at 147 weighs 147-149.

Do you think if they fought at 140 thats going to change?

i think floyds body has matured to the point that it would be a detriment for him to go down to 135. 140, decent fight. 147 floyd beats jmm.

if floyd dont accept the fight at 140 he really is a *****

The word is that the fight is likely to be at the limit of 144 lbs.

    Please tell me.

Floyd weighs 147 on fight night right now.

What does he gain at that weight that he would not have at 140? besides cutting weight.

that's not enough? OK he gets peace of mind (because he's weak minded) knowing that he has an advantage.

    What advantage?

What does Floyd gain besides not having to cut that he would not have at 140?

LOBK got it right. If Marquez wants to fight then he should move up.

    wow that was clear. here:

Advantage 1: He doesnt have to cut weight
Advantage 2: He knows he has an advantage and it makes him more confident.

Advantage 2 is a result of being a coward. Floyd picks and chooses who he fights and under what conditions he fights because he is a *****. Do you get it?

What the **** does that have to do with him accepting JMM? If JMM wants to shot his mouth of and call Floyd out then he should fight Floyd at his weight. Why does his fan start crying about the weight? JMM got exactly what he wanted. Why does his fan have their panty in a knot?

Hell I've been around for ages at this site. People know my stance on Floyd. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a fan Floyd.

Floyd does'nt have a history of severely dehydrating and then hydrating......so what Mayweather gains is added muscle if the fight took place at 147 lbs.......added strenghth conditioning for Mayweather would be to his advantage knowing he can officially weigh in at 147 lbs.

The lower the weight the fight takes place, means Mayweather has to cut down his strenghth conditioning.
He's going to have to cut down just a little on building his muscle mass, which means Mayweather has less muscle mass on him to push Marquez around, and meaning the fight as far as strenghth is concerned is fought at more even terms.

Why should Floyd have to cut weight to fight someone that called HIM out?
