i wouldnt call him one (because of those hands) his hands are horrible by the way what ever you heard about them its worse than that but i wonder how would you guys view him he if doesnt fight cotto i think even in a win it will be tougher than oscar and it would make a higher demand for him to fight cotto i went to manny steward said floyd wouldnt take the fight.... how would you view that?

I wouldn't call Mayweather a coward because, if I did, he would kick my ass.

Mayweather's future career plans: Hatton then Cotto then it's hasta la vista...

Personally I think that Mayweather has done enough in his career that I wouldn't fault him for taking a few easy money fights and then retiring with his wits intact and a nice fortune. As a fan of boxing I think the fight has to happen because these are the two best guys at around this size and their styles could make for a very interesting fight. I really hope it happens soon.

Intersting that his hands are that bad. Mayweather is tough and has heart, these qualities are overshadowed by his brashness. I wouldn't but sooo many would, not just Cotto, people will just throw names into the mix and say Floyd ducked them.

I hope his hands hold up too, I still remember the massive pillows he wore against Judah. I guess skills do pay the bills:D

Unless Floyd were to retire, then he'd have to face Cotto. Right now it's a natural mix.

I'm not one to ever call a fighter a coward, but if Floyd decided he didn't need to fight Cotto (assuming he wins of course), my guess would be Floyd might be a little worried about Cotto. Hell, he ran from a hard hitting, agressive Margarito, why not a hard hitting, agressive Cotto.

if he faces cotto then retires, people will say he ducked williams or margarito. it's just impossible to please everybody in this sport

Not really. Posters just say that thinking they are making sense. And he already ducked Margarito and 8mill. But right now, Cotto and Floyd are stars, super stars, Williams isn't.

Truth is some fights make more sense then others.

williams is not a star as of the moment. but who knows, a lot can happen from today up to the point where mayweather looks for an opponent after cotto. well, all of that was actually beside the point as all i was trying to say is that there will still be some people who won't give fighters their due for fighting fighter X as opposed to picking fighter Y. that's just how it goes.

honeslty i do think he didnt want it from margarito but not because he felt he was going to lose the fight. I always felt he was afraid of a hand injury margarito will take alot of punches and will keep floyd fighting zab is lighter on his hand he took the zab fight cuz zab sits back doesnt make you throw alot of punches he tries to counter hence saving those hands hatton and cotto will make him use his hands why waste his hands fighting margarito for chump change when u can fight zab, oscar, hatton for BIG money? see

Well that's a given. Boxing has always been that way. My point was simple, some fights make more sense then others.

And even if WIlliams somehow gains superstar status in a year, I think most will agree Floyd just doesn't need to fight Williams. If he ever does, it's because Floyd wants it. If Floyd kept fighting lesser guys OTHER Then Williams, then yes, he would be seen as ducking. But if he retired after Cotto, then he retired and Williams will not have had the opp to face Maywather. Happens to every group of boxers. Why do you think so many chased DLH. For some, it's simply too late, as they would say about Williams IMO.

When all superstar fighters reach a certain point in their careers, challenges become less important and money becomes the only thing they care about. Floyd may never challenge himself again.

8 million dollars is not chumo change. That was offered to Floyd when Floyd has no opponnent.
