    Simple question.

If Floyd wins May first will he become........

    *P4P number 1
*Or at least be rated the top WW in the division?

He'll only be pfp number one if he wins this, stops Pac in the first round, moves up, beats Williams, Martinez, Ward, Dirrell, Dawson, Adamek and Haye.

Seriously though, that's how some people act sometimes.

yes he should be, he already beat p4p no.2 marquez, then p4p no.1 don't wanna fight him so he went for the next best fighter available which is p4p no.3 mosley. p4p no.1 pac however only fought cotto and clottey, good fighters but not inside the top 10 p4p list

    nope

Pac should be number 1 unless beaten, or retires

It's awkward for #2 to overtake #1 without #2 beating the #1, especially if they are in the same weight class and both are actively fighting competetive fights (in this case #1 is even more active than #2).

But then again P4P is a matter of personal perception. Like one could say that Clottey lost via SD against Cotto, while Shane lost via UD against the same fighter. Building the logic that Pac defeated a better challenge. Some would say otherwise.

he fought Marquez at well well above his best weight, to say he was P4P number 2 whilst at 147 is insane

If he wins, Floyd would still be no.2 behind Pac

I dont understand how u can replace some1 as p4p #1 if he doesnt lose. Pac hasnt done anything to suggest he should drop a place

it'd be just as it is now......

    Pac
    FMJ

    or

    FMJ
    Pac

it really wont shift the state of P4P too much maybe Floyd has a stronger argument but until they fight each other...it will always be left up to interpretation really....well P4P is all interpretation but right now the 1,2,3 spot is really biased according to who is rating ....BUT a good thing is...WE ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE FOR THEM TO ACTUALLY DUKE IT OUT...so that we have a CLEAR CUT number 1 after that 2 and three could be subjective still.

quick questioned though....would this be somewhat of a round robin type thing....i say this because:

If Floyd beats Mosley the next logical fight is Pac

If Mosley beats Floyd the next logical fight is Pac

Now...if Pac beats either one of the two...would their still be a big intrest in Pac vs the loser of PBF/Mosley?

Usually I would agree. However, considering that the p4p no.2 was no.1 and only lost his spot because of inactivity, a case can be made for him getting his spot back without the no.1 guy losing. Roy Jones Jr. once lost his no.1 spot without losing. Mosley lost his no.1 WW ranking, to Pacquiao coincidently, without losing.
