If Floyd wouldn't have accepted the 10MM per pound penalty for every lb over 147 and instead tried to negotiate no penalty, then agreed to a 2MM fine and wouldn't budge after that causing the negotiations to end, how would you have felt? What would you have concluded?

That is a non intrusive negotiation.
It doesn't affect **** except makes sure floyd makes weigh(as he didn't last fight)

yes. floyd will be p4p number 1 on May after pac retires from boxing because he'll be busy with his congressman duties. Floyd will get the #1 ranking by default. But pac will have a comeback fight in 2012 against marquez. Pac will also reclaim the p4p #1 status because he never lost the p4p #1 spot.

Very true but Mayweather would have to undergo the same intrusive procedure as Manny negating any sort of advantage.

For 2MM a pound, Floyd could weigh in at his natrual weight of 152, lose 10MM dollars and bully the hell out of a 144 pound Pacquiao.

Did floyd in his last fight come in overweight and disregarded the contracted weight? Has manny ever failed a drug test sanctioned by nsac or not? Obviously, one of them has a legitimate claim in their negotiotion. Guess which one is it?

Good question. I would have blamed it on Pac as the stipulation originated from him. Bottom line is that you cannot force someone to accept a stipulation outside of the status quo.

    For example:

If Pac requested 8 lbs glove and Floyd declined, causing the fight to be cancelled, the blame falls on Pac.

Or if Floyd requested a bigger size ring and Pac declined, causing the fight to be cancelled, the blame falls on Floyd.

When two parties fail to agree then on something, the status quo should prevail. Otherwise, the blame falls on the party who will not abide with the status quo.

That's a fair position that I respectfully disagree with.

All of this really needs to disappear and the fight just needs to get signed on some sort of meet in the middle type of agreement.

The fans get polarized and the debate gets disturbing.

I think we should all stop arguing semantics and wait for the outcome of Mosley/May. If pac doesn't negotiate with floyd when he wins, then **** him(and vice versa).

True. And the other thing that makes this p4p listings rubbish is that i honestly think Shane will Take Pac by KO. So in my (in WW ratings) mind its

    Floyd
    Shane
    Pac
