The more aggressive an opponent the better for the fans. One thing about a possible Pacquiao fight is I think that will bring out more than usual aggression which, IMO will result in Pac getting stopped.

 

That's the one way I could see him losing, by getting "out-worked", even if he's the one landing the solid shots, just because that's how the judges seem to score more these days.

i love floyds infighting skills when he chooses to use them hes really good inside. He gutted it out inside with castillo late in their first fight and landed the cleaner shots and countered effectively. He ate hatton up inside just by angling his body and using his elbows to make room. I think he should try and wage war inside with pac who I don't rate as a pocket fighter by mayweathers standards

 

You'd need a baseball bat to knock out Baldomir. Stocky guys with big heads and little necks are the hardest guys to knock out. Vernon Forrest couldnt even crack Baldo.

The fight is on youtube, Floyd is opening up cuts all around Baldo's face, but somewhere around round 6 something happens and he stops throwing. He most likely hurt his hand like he said.

As for Oscar, yes he should have opened up more and really hurt Oscar, but he must have been wary of Oscar's power at that weight.

 

It gets harder as you move up in weight, one thing he also noticed is that his hands couldn't take the extra weight he was putting on them. He couldn't punch full force in the higher weights without his hands failing him, that's what forced him to pot shot, make guys miss and secure decisions without being able to keep the activity up. Also his choice of gloves is good enough proof.

 

It's only recently that I was able to watch PBF's earlier fights, he really was a beast at the lower weights. Good thread on why he hasn't been aggressive in his recent fights, he's definitely a small welter so I guess he realizes he can't take too many risks against the big guys in WW.

On a side note, it's the same reason why I think Pac's foray into jWW and maybe WW is such a scary thought for a Pac fan like me. Pac isn't the type to play it safe and he can definitely get KTFO against the bigger guys.

 

That's true about Pac but he has been fighting more intelligently, more like a boxer-puncher. Made some nice adjustments as he's moved up. I think he and Floyd both have to be more careful against any full-blown WW's. The elite WW's are all pretty big in comparison to either one. WW's of this day-in-age are much bigger than they used to be.
