How would his career be looked at? Would he still be #1 p4p? Would he still be as big of a star if he kept on racking up title defenses in THE SAME weight class for 10 years?

He could have stayed at 135 or 140 if he wanted but according to some ESB gurus he moved up to fight smaller guys, if that makes sense.

If he stayed at 130 the haters would say he should have moved up to test himself against the bigger guys at 135 or 140.:deal

Pretty much. Look at todays champs at 130 and 135- Soto, Guerrero, Martinez, Linares(130) Marquez and Valero (135).

Any of these guys gonna win titles at 140,147 and 154?

at 140 he was pretty ****ing good.

he would've taken over the 140 division.

but 130? he was struggling to stay there.

True, but i'd be very surprised if any of them became dominant at 147 and above.

Obviously not because he would of been severely weight-drained in every fight, and it would of probably cut his career in half.

Ye, Linares will win a title at LW when he moves up in 2 years and at LWW if he moves up again.
