    Wtf??

    Are you ******ed?

Floyd is malcom x and the founding fathers all rolled up into one now.

  2. I'm not trying to turn it into a negative reaction. I'm just trying to understand and get my head round it.

I take your explanation on board, but it doesn't make sense. If Floyd's just trying to help Shane clear his name and therefore the sport of boxing, why does he and the Mayweather camp constantly bring it up, talking like he's still taking steroids/PEDs? They mention it over, and over and over in a negative way. If what you say is true, they'd drop it altogether and move on. I hear what you're saying, but I'm not buying it.

  3. Yeah OK this seems more plausible. He's saying 'his' system of drug testing is so fool-proof that he's willing to fight a 'known' steroid/PED user. I buy this more than any other explanation I've heard so far. Thanks BigReg.

The 'cleaning up the sport' bit is represented by all of his fights being subject to random blood and urine testing. I don't see a contradiction in fighting a guy who has taken PED's before, as long as those standards are implemented. The contradiction would be him requesting it for one fighter and not for another.

  5. My thinking was that known steroid/PED users would be ostracized by Floyd and boxing, the same way it happens to other athletes in other sports. Michael Johnson in athletics being one example that springs to mind.

I buy the idea of Floyd willing to fight a 'known' steroid/PED user in Shane Mosely to prove the testing methods are superior to what's out there. It's just this is the first time I'm hearing it, in this thread. I've never heard it mentioned by Floyd or the Mayweather camp.

No you idiot. The point is clear to anyone with half a brain. Sometimes writing letters and hoping someone gives you what you want is not good enough.

technically hes made Mosley-a past roid user, take the drug tests before fighting him which ensures mosleys not on anything

mosley is a great fighter and by making him take the tests that stops the use of steroids...meaning a clean fight

its not that hard to comprehend

Well, stop giving him credit for cleaning up the sport then ******.
He isn't affecting the sport, he's affecting himself personally. If he gave a **** he would be calling out the NSAC and not shane mosley on 24/7.

He's transparent and so are his ****** kool aid drinking fans.

you can't clean up any sport overnight, nor can one person do it alone.

For the most part, boxing does not have a good reputation in the public eye, and that's for a variety of reasons. Professional sports in general have had their credibility damaged specifically by PEDs.

By Floyd taking this step, he is ensuring that any question marks that are raised in this and other sports regarding the legitimacy of the athletes physical makeup will be, at least for this one fight, completely erased.

Mosley, unfortunately, does not have a clean track record. But as long as all tests are passed, then we can be 100% certain that this fight is between two clean fighters. That is nothing but a good thing for sport in general. The testing procedures will get a ton of publicity the night of the fight. There will be many casual fans watching who likely aren't aware of the rigorous testing that is taking place for this fight. I'm sure this will be applauded by many people and do nothing but have a positive impact on the image of the sport.

And you're an over obsessed, half ******ed, lunatic. Mayweather nor anyone else gives a **** about your silly ass rants.

  11. It is when the Mayweather camp CONSTANTLY bring up his alleged steriod/PED use. Most recently in the latest episode of 24/7. They bash him about it all the time. That's what got me wondering.

If I were in the same position, claiming to be cleaning up boxing, I'd have said "Hell no I ain't fighting no steriod user; I'm cleaning up boxing. I only fight clean fighters" and be done with it.

I agree! Floyd doesnt give a **** about any other fighter, or cleaning up the sport. All he's trying to do is save face by implementing it for all his fights due to the fact that the Pac fight got scrapped because of it.

    You find time to respond!

That is until I point out how stupid you have to be to linger on his every word like he is the ****ing messiah of boxing.

he's not trying to get shane to clear his name, but the tests they are taking are there to prove they're clean for that certain fight. that's all good to me, i got no problem with that. witht he **** floyd asked from pacquiao, he now has to demand that from every fighter, but mosley accepted straight away, and personally i think the pressure is on pacquiao, because it's him refusing to do whatever it takes to make the fight happen, not floyd.

You linger, obsess, get all agitated, and generally get excited about the prospect of showing everyone how much of a clown you are anytime Floyd speaks. I would expect his fans to hang on his every word, it makes you wonder when his haters do it as well. At the end of the day, Floyd is just a boxer. It's really not that serious.

Who the **** cares if he claims he wants to clean up boxing? Who the **** cares if his fans agree? What I do know is that at a point when many people thought Pac was slowing down, he started moving up multiple divisions in a short period of time, mowing people down. He did this while maintaining his physique, his speed, and his power(his power actually seems more devastating). He was called out front and center and decided to hide behind a bunch of sorry excuses. To me, why this guy doesn't want to get tested is more important than whether or not Mayweather wants to clean up the sport.
