I agree 100%, Old fat Foreman was good but not great anymore, he still would have easily destroyed Tyson. It is a shame Tyson ducked him because that would have been a fun fight to watch.

Agreed, he would have leaned his big a$$ on tyson, wore him down, hit him with looping right hands and sneaky uppersuts and beat the hell out of Tyson. Tyson was shot after Douglas beat him up.

Old fat Foreman had very little chance with Tyson.

And no Tyson didn't duck Foreman it was the other way around.

Foreman ducked Mike Tyson 3 times.

He turned down a $5,000,000 offer in 1990 claiming he didn't want to deal with Don King.
He turned down a $20,000,000 offer in 1991 claiming that he wanted a Holyfield rematch instead.
He turned down a $25,000,000 offer in 1995 claiming that he didn't want to deal with Don King.

Foreman was too slow and his work rate was too low to give Tyson any problems.

Remember power is not a prerequisite for beating Tyson. And when you look at his record the biggest punchers he's faced have all lost to him with the exception of Lewis.

Yeah, and then George would have laughed all the way to the bank, all the while holding an ice pack to his battered eye!

Foreman knew he didn't have a shot in heck of beating Tyson. But Foreman wanted one of those Tysonesque paychecks.

    Mike Tyson fought 4 ATGS
    He Kod Larry Holmes,
    He Kod Mike Spinks
He lost to Holyfield after 4 years in prison
He lost to Lennox Lewis 15 years past his peak.

Hed knock the **** out of your boyfriend Wladmir.

Tyson would have beaten old George on points. Even at 40 odd,George would have been strong enough to take Mike's punches.

The general feeling at the time was that if they where to fight it would be very detrimental to Foremans health, & they were right. I don't think Tyson would've Ko'd Foreman because of Foremans chin & size he could soak up tremendous punishment, & that's exactly what would've happened leading to a TKO in the later rounds, & it would've been ugly!!

As for the history, if my memory serves, a stipulation in the contract for the Nov 8th Holyfield match that never happened, the winner had to make best efforts to fight Foreman next, so assuming Tyson beat Holyfield...which I believe he would've done...he would've then beaten Foreman, assuming Foreman actually accepted the match...which is doubtful, then perhaps a Holyfield v Foreman re-match as a road back to Tyson.

yet the post douglas version of tyson beat much better fighters than old foreman ever did. when did comeback george beat the likes of razor ruddock or KO Alex Stewart? Tyson wiped the floor with a much better version of alex stewart who beat up george two years later when alex was 4-3 in his last 7 fights compared to the 26-1 stewart that Tyson faced.

Old foreman beating Tyson is a romantic no brainer. Comeback George simply did not beat fighters as good as the worst version of Tyson. Foreman was only beating journeymen like mike jameson, big foot martin, terry anderson, part time fighters and cruiserweights. He was not beating contenders. old george got a shot at holyfeild for beating unrated terry anderson in london who was fresh off a KO loss to bobby crabtree, a guy old foreman already beat but not after tony tucker, james pritchard, renaldo snipes, fransesco damiani, james broad, quick tillis and anyone else who wanted a win before him! All those guys beat crabtree in the same style or earlier than george did. old george was not special.

Holmes win wasn't anything special. Holmes was old, out of shape and just had a very poor camp. And holmes managed to give Tyson some troubles.
