We all remember that Foreman v Stewart fight, Alex getting knocked down very early, recovering and coming back to take him to the limit.

But what if George had taken on Donavon Razor Ruddock?
What ever his faults, Razor could HIT.
And I believe his chin was a bit sturdier than Alex s.

So what's the result after 10 rounds?

I reckon he could do a Tommy Morrison and run ragged from a senior citizen.

Ruddock was more skilled than he'd show but he loved relying on power and banging, I could definitely see him bagging a few rounds by actually using movement and even rocking Foreman but due to his tendancy to go all out he'd get caught by Foreman too and most likely knocked down, after 10 rounds I'll go with Foreman in a 96-93/92 type of decision due to the knockdowns.

Ruddock didn't have the know how to run, he didn't against Tyson. If anything he'd be swinging from the ground to take George's head off.

Ruddock via UD. He'd have to box more than he's used to, but I believe he could get the job done. It's a competitive fight with Ruddock winning the majority of the rounds & Foreman having his moments but ultimately coming up short.

Ruddock before he fell in love with his power, was an excellent boxer. That version would stand a much better chance.

He was a decent boxer at one point. Once he started koing em, then any thoughts of using a jab disappeared.

I believe that Ruddock would test even a young Foreman, if even in a brief fight. Old Foreman would take some nasty shots.

Prime Tyson couldn't stop a prime Ruddock. And Ruddock was a puncher himself.

Curious why people aren't picking him to KO Old George. These guys will presumably be trading. Foreman was durable in his comeback, but he's still an older man here facing a prime, hard to KO powerpuncher who was able to trade with Tyson.

Tyson was susceptible to the uppercut so when he got hit by the smash he was left stun-locked on a few occasions.

Razor took Tyson the distance because of those stun locks. But overall Tyson dropped Roddock a number of timed and stopped him once.

Foreman wasn't open to the uppcercut and on top of that his battering ram jab makes it too difficult for Razor to set up his smash punch

Stewart was on route to depart the contest in the second round against Foreman. He only survived because he hopped on his bicycle.

Razor isn't producing any fleet footed performance on the backfoot so the only conclusion I see here is Razor getting Cooney'd in the late rounds

Steward boxes on the back foot behind his jab . Ruddock goes in swinging and gets sparked out early. Fun whilst it lasts

comeback Foreman failed to kayo a lot of guys. Even if Ruddock elected to slug why would Foreman be favored to stop him?

Ruddock did get dropped quite a bit but from a pure durability or revovery standpoint he was pretty good. I really don't see Foreman stopping him and lets be real. Foreman wouldn't take that fight anyway. He didn't want Bowe, Lewis and im not sure he wanted Tucker. It was the smaller guys he (usually) targeted

Putting it that way is misleading.
In his comeback Foreman had 34 fights.
There were 7 guys Foreman did not KO or TKO.
4 were his last 4 fights-all at over 46 years old. He won all except the widely regarded as a robbery last fight with Briggs when approaching 49.

Of the others, one was Bert Cooper who retired after a devastating body blow-he was clearly on the way to being stopped anyway.
Of the other two, Morrison & Stewart needed to run a lot or avoid engagement to make it to the end & see a decision-either way.
I would say Morrison needed PEDs too (since he said he would have been 190 lbs. without them).

So while I agree with some others that IF Ruddock elected to box wisely, he would likely win.
But he had abandoned that approach before all of his biggest fights.

If he elected to slug-or most anyone before the time Foreman fought Shultz-he is likely getting stopped.
Even Holyfield in his prime then knew to choose his moments against Foreman, & he was not fast enough to catch Evander-& even his jab drove Holyfield out of range.

Holyfield fought some huge bangers-Cooper, Tyson x2 & Lewis, Mercer, Bowe X3...
Despite Foreman not being quick enough to maximize the result of impact due to being caught by surprise, Holyfield said that Foreman, then 42, hit him harder than anyone ever.

At one point he asked his corner if all his teeth had been knocked out.
Ruddock had a decent chin, but as the fights against Tyson & Morrison showed, it was not top level.
So if he elected to trade with Foreman-like almost everyone else before he was 46-he is likely going to get KOed or a mercy TKO before that happens.
