Im not usually a fan of these "what if" questions, but I was thinking.

If Foreman hadnt had his 10 year hiatus from 77-87, how much damage could he have done in those years?

Could he have beaten a prime Holmes? Maybe derailed a young Tyson?

Thing is,the guy was inactive during the years the should have been his prime. Interesting to think how he could have done.

or maybe he would have burnt out quickly and retire in early 80's he for sure would't have fought till 97.

And he would lose to Holmes

Being a Foreman historian I can say his weakest point was the Gil Clancey stage post Ali. Foreman was too confused he did not know what to be the relaxed stalker or the fearless attacker.Honestly if he used his old style with JimmyYYoung instead of toying and pawing for 6 rounds he could of won easy Foreman mentally was just not ready for the relaxed style that got him through his comeback .

This. I looked at one if his documentaries and he seemed to be just messed up. In his comeback he had the right mentality and was just a better boxer.
