They'd have an excellent opportunity to have shut us all up and show boxing fans that they actually give a rats, this weekend. With Mainevent is showing the UFC, Fox Sports had a great opportunity to show either:

Pavlik vs Lockett, world 160lbs title or Forrest v Mora, WBC 154lbs title with an undercard featuring Quintana v Williams II and Bowie Tupou in his hardest test yet.

Sadly the days of getting these type of cards shown on Fox Sports Live are dead and burried.

    UFC is f*cking

to in comparison to boxing. The Forrest v Mora card would be unreal, looking at the undercard. Williams v Quintana will be excellent, and i would love to see Toupu in action. Damn fox sports. I am suprised people actually watch the UFC that heavily in Aus.

Pavlik-Lockett card is good too with a great undercard match between WBO Super Bantamweight Champ Daniel Ponce De Leon & undefeated Puerto Rican sensation Juan Manuel Lopez.

It's **** poor really. I downloaded that TVU recently and watched the Hatton v Lazcano fight, completely uninterrupted, streamed perfectly, which is something I've never had with Sopcast.

I don't really understand the difference between the two though or why this would be the case. I'm hoping that TVU will have the big fights from now on, as that's where boxing fans will have to resort to, when Mainevent turn their backs on the sport.

It's sad to say but UFC must be getting bigger numbers in Australia for FOX MAINEVENT to keep playing their cards. :-(

My beef with Fox is that they should give a reply during the week, instead of showing things like poker, wind sailing and worlds stongest man replys from 2002.

I'm really not sure. They have that MMA channel, like Sopcast. They also had the versus channel, which is what Hatton v Lazcano was shown on, in the US.

    Hi, new member here.

I'm frustrated with Fox Sports coverage too, they could show these sorts of fights but they usually wheel out that Fightsports knockouts crap. I emailed setanta to see if they would be showing any boxing in the near-future but they never replied to me.

Every single one of them from day dot mate. Disgusting. Mind you, surely only a few would've paid for them all.

Should add, it's been a very smart marketing stratergy. I can't think of a single other boxer ever, that's had every single one of his fights as a PPV.

There's your problem Ippy , Fox TV probably thinks it can earn decent enough revenue off Mundine what with all the casual boxing fans paying through the nose to watch **** fights at the expense of real boxing fans , as the old saying goes ,when you got a lemon you squeeze it mate , Fox by the sounds of it don't give a shite about the real fans and what would be quality viewing , hence that twats reaction to Marcus's question , but you are right it sounds as if Mundine's entire career has been in Tandem with Fox's wishes , they must have earned millions off PPV by probably billing Mundine as the super middle weight champ of the world to convince mug punters it is the case when as we all know it ain't .. :deal
