The only possible way Tyson beats Ali, is by KO. Now, for this to be possible. Tyson would have to crack one of THE best chins ever in boxing. The chin that took the bombs of, Lyle, Norton, Liston, Foreman, Frazier and Shavers. I do not believe that Tyson could finish off Ali. Ali would do a psyche job on the guy,mix that in with his jab speed (faster than Tyson) and boxing savvy and give Tyson a boxing lesson. Frazier, beat and Ali not far removed from a 3 1/2 year exile. Plus, Smokin Joe would be smokin for all 15 rds. Bringing the heat, digging to the body, and not getting discouraged at not getting the quick KO. Christ, Qucik Tillis gave Tyson trouble with boxing. Ali, 12 UD or, 14th rd stoppage

BTW, Cassius Clay dominates Tyson, without Tyson even having his moments. Clay, too fast, too much energy, never stood still...

Tyson could beat any fighter in history. He was a machine in his prime. A freak of nature. But there are differences between he and Frazier. Joe was arguably a better in-fighter and wasn't as easy to tie up as Tyson was. He could also sustain a pace that Tyson wouldn't be able to, where Tyson would be more likely to look for a big shot and not put his punches together at the rate Frazier would (body and head)...

I don't think he's "so weak", I just don't think he can endure the levels of punishment that Frazier did in those fights. Perhaps he could dish out more punishment than Frazier did within a given 45 second period, but I'm not sure he could do it for 15 rounds like Frazier did. Either way, I think punch resistance would be the key and I don't think Tyson could hold up over the long haul, but not because he's mentally weak, but just because he's not as good a fighter as Ali, in my humble opinion.

    Well then it wouldn't count.

According to some, if a Tyson opponent walks in the ring scared the victory doesn't seem to count because the opponent was scared.

    As for this fight;

    Its a pick em fight.

I'd favor Ali but I can see a scenario where Tyson stops him.

Tyson still has a chance but it's slim. I would always favor Ali prime for prime though.

I agree with everything except for this. Also, if Tyson is so "mentally weak" as uninformed people make him out to be, why didn't he quit? Did he bite Douglas ear? I don't even remember him trying to fight Douglas dirty at all he just toke his beating like a man. Even in the first fight against Holyfield he didn't quit.

Tyson didn't have the inside arsenal that Frazier had to trouble Ali. Frazier could make Ali pay when Ali tied him up in close usually but Mike wasn't as good of an inside fighter as Joe.

Ruddock could crack too. The second fight had quite a bit of lowblows but I think it was because of the size disparity.

Same as I. Ali could get in Mike's head but a motivated Mike has a good chance of beating Ali.

    He's a fanboy don't mind him.

Because assholes think all you had to do was give Tyson a meaner look then he gave you during the press conference and he would be so scared he'd KO himself jus not to fight.

Everyone always banks on Tyson not being mentally strong enough to beat Ali but those people are assholes and dont know ****.

batmans dropped supes 2 times outta 3 last i read lol

    come on, ali.!!!

tyson has better than a punchers chance but not much more. he had speed when he was young but when he was young he didnt have heart. his prime was when he was 21. ali just got better after that age.

so if its prime to prime it'd be tyson 21/22 v ali 27.
ali would take him somehow, 3 times out of 4. at any other time in his career after that peak age,, tyson would have been battered 4 out of 4.

Prime Ali, the real one that beat Liston and took his will and made him quit even after being blinded, beats Tyson every time imo.

Prime Tyson would have a much better chance beating the Ali that Frazier beat for sure. If Tyson had Ali hurt as Frazier did, I think he stops him.
