If Froch beats Abraham, does he have the best resume in the SMW division?

Hear me out first. I'm in no way claiming that Froch is the best at SMW, that honour goes to either Ward or Bute depending on where u sit.

But if Froch manages to beat Abraham, does he have the best resume at SMW. I mean, he would have beaten AA, Taylor by KO, Dirrell (I no it was close) and Pascal in what was probably FOTY. That's a pretty deep resume IMO. While I think Ward has the better win under his belt (Kessler), is his resume deeper than Froch's at this point?

If he doesn't have the best resume, who does?

While he isn't the best, if he beats AA, he has the best and deepest resume IMO

I would say Kessler still shades him

Froch would, Wards win against Kessler was all headbutting against an inactive, ring rusty ruined Kessler.

Kessler came to life against Froch due to a home town cooking and the fact he had 2 fights under his belt for the first time in 3 years, against Ward he had 8 mins of action, so hardly a good win at all for Ward.

Come on man. I no that Ward used his head a lot, but his win over Kessler was a great win as previously no1 gave him much of a chance.

It was a good win, but, come on, Kessler hadn't fought since Calzaghe, Joe even had 2 fights and retired since then and Kessler took ages to have another fight!

Kessler was horribly inactive, add to that the headbutts, the wins not without its flaws.

    Greens a complete joke though.

Not sure I agree. He has good wins over Froch and Andrade, but he has lost his two biggest fights quiet comfortably.

After the Calzaghe fight, Kessler fought and beat Sartison and Haussler and had another fight a few months before ward. While the opponents aren't the best, I wouldn't say he was horribly inactive

Absolutely, Froch's resume over the past few fights is stacked even if he isn't the greatest talent out there.

Dude, those 2 weren't fights, they were utter jokes to someone of Kesslers ability, going over the motions isn't the same as a proper fight, i maintain he was horribly inactive and mentally destroyed from Calzaghe, unbeaten fighters often go through that after their first loss.

even if those fighters were not in Kessler's league, which they aren't, the fact remains that he had 3 fights between Calz and Ward, and he would hve went through the training and sparring process with all of them.

IMO, saying Kessler was inactive is a little neive

Froch already has the best resume at SMW, but he is not the best fighter.

At this point yes...but if he doesn't make it through to the knockout stages, that could all change.

It would be arguable for a yes or no, I think. I'd say Kessler would have him though.
