If Froch beats Abraham, does he have the best resume in the SMW division?

    I think he would. All the other top guys in the division have spotty resumes. Ward( 1 big win), Bute(no real big wins), Kessler(same), AA(same), Dirrell(1 big win) none really stand out in that department.

    saying holyfield has a great resume is an understatement ...and pointing out losses to lewis, moorer (which he also knocked out) and ruiz (who he holds a win against as well) not to mention 2 wins over tyson, wins over bowe, foreman, holmes, dokes, the fact he foguht lewis 2 times, bowe 3 times, qawi 2 times, unified the cruiserweight division, knocked out the undisputed champ in the heavyweight against douglas who many had douglas the favorite going in, chris byrd, rahman, ray mercer, and all the guys he fought past his prime, way past in james toney, ibragimov, valeuv....holyfields resume looks like a freaking advertisement for boxrec

    Kessler = best career resume'

    Froch = best recent resume'

    That stands with or without AA.

    I'm not a big fan of Froch, his mouth is greater than his talent but you have to owe to the guy he gets in there with anybody and fights and he still eeks out the win. There is this article that they just posted on ESB that says Froch is crap and he can't win against Abraham. I think he could win but to say that he has no chance is just complete crap.

    Yeah his resume is the deepest but what about Dirrell(his first 3 opponents are/will be Froch/Abraham/Ward pretty impressive in my book. You could make a case that he won the Froch fight(imo both fighters did lousy that I gave them a draw) Anyway just my 2 cents.

    Robert listen for once. Forget what I say and look at facts.
    What had Dirrell done to get a title shot? Would he have got one if not for the super 6?
    Forget how biased fans scored the Froch - Dirrell bout look at what the official reports say, and both Boxing News and The Ring scored for Froch. There you have it non biased reports.
    Steiglitz has beaten undefeated champ Balzsay away and defended against top challenger undefeated Gutknecht who beat Balzsay. Steiglitz has also split wins with former champ Berrio. He also beat undefeated contender Lukas Wlaschek. You see Steiglitz has fought in good company, sure he lost to Andrade, but seems to have improved and has a better resume than Green, Dirrell and at SMW Abraham as well, explain why you think different

    No, Froch would have the 4th best resume in the division. And if it weren't for his gift decision over Dirrell, it'd be the 5th or 6th best. However, due to the fact that he is not going to beat Abraham anyway, he should soon be finding himself struggling to maintain a top ten spot in the division. Talent always shines through in the end, so why wouldn't complete lack of talent reveal itself at some point?

    So your arguing that even if he beats AA, he would only have the 4th best resume at 168? That's just plain hate! He would have beaten Taylor, AA Pascal and Dirrell. That's pretty good!

    It would be interesting to see which three SMWs you believe to hve better resumes than that list. I assume it would be Ward, Kessler and Bute. But ward has only 1 good name under his belt, Bute hasn't fought any1 as good as any of Froch's big wins with mayb the execption of Andrade. It is surely only between Froch and Kessler. To have froch at 4 is plain stupid!

    Pretty simple.... he would be in the top 2 at least.

    AA
    Dirrell
    Pascal
    Taylor

    with only loss being a close war to Kessler

    as far as RESUME alone he would have one of the best no question.

    it does.

    kessler has beaten mundine, beyer and froch.

    ward has beaten miranda, kessler

    dirrel has beaten aa

    bute has beaten andrade and miranda.

    froch would have pascal, taylor, dirrel, AA and a close fight with kessler.

    the guy fights the best out there, no doubt.
