Calzaghe has kept his council since Kessler beat Froch when he could quite easily have tried to take the ****.

Obviously he see's this as the end of their trash talking.

Let's hope Carl follows suit.

Also with regards to Grant's comment. I agree. I have been pleasantly suprised by Joe's lack of criticsm of Froch if i'm honest. I also hope this is an end to matters.

It seems that coke scandal and Froch's loss couldn't have come at a better time for those of us tired of hearing their bickering :good

 

If the fight is a 'home' fight for Froch, I'm with you, I'll be picking Carl.

However, if it's a Sauerland show I think it changes massively and will be picking Abs.

If it's over there, Froch won't be able to work the body and won't get away with anything.

I don't remember another fight which depended so heavily on the venue/promoter.

Carl wouldn't even put Calzaghe on his ass in the first place. See the thing Hopkins and Jones didn't ever lose was handspeed and timing, Hopkins picked a beautiful short counter that Froch is not even capable of...he doesn't have that subtlety.

Froch is as slow as anything and his power is overrated as well. He never bothered Kessler with his vaunted power and he didn't knock down Pascal or Dirrell either.

 

He had him hurt several times with big rights throughout the fight.

 

I agree, besides didn't Jones knock him down with his forearm?

Calzaghes been out of the ring for a while but I think he was so far ahead of Froch that I think he would still beat him without needing to even take a tune up. Froch is easily hittable, too slow, and Calzaghe has a very high work rate. It would be a comfortable win for him IMO
