If froch wins super 6 without losing would he already surpass calzaghe legacy?

Yes.

 

Clearly Calzaghe is the better fighter than Froch and would kill him prime for prime. Cannot see Froch even lasting the super 6 without getting beaten, I really cant.

Lets watch the super 6 and then talk about this.

 

Definitely yes. Calzaghe hasn't overcame anything that big in his entire career.

His 2 Biggest/Greatest wins came against 2 40 yr old Boxers. Say what you will, but they were both over 40 when they fought Calzaghe. He was leveled early by Mr.Lean Back himself in one fight, lucky they didnt fight in RJJs prime.

Outside of beating the old legends he beat the European tested Mikkel Kessler and Jeff Lacy who turned out to be a fluke that barely escaped the Wrath of the very dangerous heavy handed boxing technician Peter Manfredo Jr. :blood

So with that being said, if Froch wins the tourney i will openly say he surpassed Calzaghes legacy. BUT i can tell you right now Froch has a bigger set of stones than Calzaghe ever had just for entering the tournament. Even if he loses he has earned my respect as a fighter. Same for Kessler and Abraham too. Those are true European warriors whether they all lose or not. They put their balls on the line, thats what true boxing is all about.

Think of who he'll have beaten

- Dirrell: even if he goes on to to good things, he's green here.
- Kessler: quality win, but will now have tag of losing his biggest fights
- AA: if he has a poor tournament, this win will mean little - didn't fight the best at 160 and bombed at 168; only matters if he doesn't have a loss at this point

Next 2 fights... if Ward is on a win streak, that would be a good win; otherwise, Froch'll be going over old ground. Nothing wrong with that, but not as good as it could be (does Tarver get any credit for a 2nd Jones win? Shane benefit that much from DLH x2?).

It'd be a great feat, but how much weight it actually carries is completely unknown at this point. Not to mention any controversies.
