I give him huge credit if he wins his next fight in a more impressive way than last time. Dirrell sucked but still should have gotten the win. It makes me hesitant to give a guy much credit if he keeps talking like he would beat Calzaghe and then needs luck to beat Dirrell.

But if he wins against Kessler and deserves it, all credit to him. If he wins the super six, he would be one of the greater overachievers in boxing.

Why start a thread if you don't want people to express their opinion?

If Froch wins the super six the way he won against Dirrell, I won't give him much credit. If he wins the super six the way he won against Pascal and Taylor, I'll give him credit big time, as I did earlier when he won those back to back fights.

He won't win the super six though. :D

    he really didnt beat dirrel
ward is not more athletic than dirrell but way more disciplined and thats all it takes to beat froch & in a rematch i woudl take dirrell anyways
jt / green will get bodied
aa & kessler are still up in the air...

    regardless he won't win...

I really think Dirrell can beat AA. I might be in the minority of those thinking this, but if he can work closer to AA than JT did then i think he can outpoint him. If this happens it opens the tournament right up for Froch, if he beats Kessler (which i think he is capable of doing).

Problem is, if AD catches a shot flush from AA then he is, for use of a better word, ****ed.

I totally want people to express their opinions but only if they answer the question I set in the title.

You starts threads like this and people just use it as a chance to bash the fighter instead of answering the question.

I know quite a lot of people who think Dirrell will win. I kind of think the same as you. He should win but if he gets tagged he's ****ed!!!

Are you crazy? Anyone who wins this tournament is going to get an enormous amount of credit from anyone who isn't a moron.

I like the guy so i am not a hater, i just don't see all that great fighter in him. If he beats Kessler i would be impressed, depending on how Kessler looks. If he wins it all, which i highly doubt, i would be extremely surprised and impressed.

    ah fair enough! :smoke

He seemed to be pretty clued up on the last episode of Fight Camp about how he is going to be approaching the fight. I think he learned a great deal from the Froch fight and (even though i am a Froch fan) want to see him do well from here on in, due to the manner in which Froch beat him. He knows that he needs to adopt a different game plan against AA and stick to it. Going to be interesting to see how AA fights in the states after doing so only once before. Really can't wait for this one.

I thought he lost to Dirrel and see him getting KO'ed by Kessler so if he can somehow win it, firstly I would be shocked and secondly I would give him his dues. He isn't pretty to watch, has the boxing technique of a 10 year old, but he does seem to just keep on winning.
