No doubt in my mind Froch will be #1 ATG when this tournament is over, so relax and ignore everyone else. I just told you what you want to hear and that should be good enough for you, no?

He will be on the way there, winning the tournament all alone is not enough to become the greatest in the division of all time. Got to see how he defends the spot after winning it.

Hell I would take the SMW version of James Toney over any of these guys as well. Froch would be target practice.

If someone was to win all their first round fights, get two convincing victories in the semi's and the final then beat Bute (providing he's still IBF champ) once the tournament's over, they will have by far the best SMW resume of all time.

    He wouldn't be far off.

But only because 168 is an historically **** division.

Everyone Says JC would kick Frochs ass, I doubt that very much

Froch is slow, but so was Robin Reid who was hlf the fighter of Froch, Bika was a strong physical guy and gave Joe enough.

Froch wouldnt be bullied about and Froch carries his power right throughout the fight.

Domestic matchups ware closely contested affairs and this one would be also.

+ Joe slaps he wont get Froch's respect.

and you think joe will respect froch for 1 second, robin reid had a good night and calzaghe had an amazingly shite night yet he still comfortably outpointed reid on two scorecards (i dont know what fight the other judge was scoring) and he outpointed bika as well.

For every punch froch throws he will be peppered with about five, froch carrys power through the rounds but calzaghe doesnt tire so in the swing of things it wont help froch that much.

Go and slap yourself, reid half the fighter that froch was! frochs power is overrated, he is sloppy, and has only had two credited fights against pascal (untested) and taylor (2nd fight at super middleweight) , (dont count the reid fight reid was way past his best) you even watch Reid seriously and you will understand how good he is, many people thought he beat calzagh, and way more people knew he beat ottke, Reid was great fighter who would of took carl froch to school

I think this tournament is brilliant but the way it works means that it might be a while before we see Froch-Kessler or even see them at all.

Maybe after this tournament we won't care either way as certain fighters raise their credibility and others lose it.
