Does this suprise you though? Come on, mate, it's not a new thing. I wonder if anyone actually does agree with any of the ABC organisation's current top ten rankings in any weight division. I regularly check up on the WBC, IBF and WBO rankings and it's a darn disgrace, IMO. We just have to accept it.:-(

The WBC's aren't generally that bad.... a few names within the respective top 10's that shouldn't be there and a few outside that possibly should, I would give them a 6/10 for their efforts.

I couldn't find anything from the WBA since April.... seems they are making things up as they go!

The WBO rankings have always been the worst which is one of the reasons I ignore their strap. I find it bizarre how the IBF nearly always keep their #1 and #2 positions empty.

I do not count any fighter has been a world champion since the WBA came into business.

What I find even stranger about the IBF is the fact that ex-champs who held the strap always get a shot at the title if it's vacated.:think

to be fair to Sexton, he kind of deserves that rating.

Rogan beat Skelton. Skelton went 12 rounds with Chagaev and was ranked by the WBO after beating Sprott and Williams, who were both ranked by the WBO, who both beat Harrison who was ranked by the WBO.

Sure non of them should of been there in the first place, but you cant take that away from Sexton who beat Rogan, even if it was controversial.

It's so they can have eliminator's for both the #1 and #2 spot(and then sometimes match the winner of those eliminators). This is so they can bring in sanctioning fees(generally I do agree with eliminators but this is the sole purpose of the IBF using them) and imo it's a better way of getting sanctioning fees then having 2/3 champs in every division(WBA).

Rendall Munroe was ranked #4 by the IBF(the second highest after #3 Steve Molitor with the two top spots vacant). Molitor beat Heriberto Ruiz for the #2 spot. I'm guessing the drop our dear Rendall has suffered is because he's turned down an IBF eliminator.

Who would the IBF eliminator have been against?

    Molitor I assume.....

Do you think they have a lack of faith in him, or going another route - I see he is ranked #2 by Jose Sillyman

    The IBO's are pretty good.

Where is Jamie Moore with the WBC? Next British world champ!

Mooresy is #3 behind Cintron and Forrest

Not so long back he was about #6 with Chavez and Hearns ahead of him!

Well believe it or not the highest ranked available contender was..........Kiko Martinez and if they turned down an eliminator for that reason then fairplay.

It wouldn't have been Molitor as the eliminator would have been for the #1 spot and the IBF wouldn't have just lost faith in him going their route, Maloney would have had to say to them 'no we don't want the eliminator' for them to act as they have done.

It would be dangerous going the WBC route, he'd have the honour of being knocked out by Rafael Marquez.

Jamie Moore is #3(that's what winning and defending the European title will do for you with the WBC.......that's why Munroe is #2), not that he doesn't deserve his place and after the fight against Colas if Moore wins I could see him being put into an eliminator against Cintron, Forrest or Chavez jnr.

It is one of the things which makes the WBC #1 in so many people's eyes.

After all, the holders of the respective regional belts are likely to be better than those fighting ten rounders against Micky Mouse oppo, such as John Duddy - though they do give a hell of a lot of preference to former champions of their organisation that don't really seem worthy.

If you are the European champion it does tend to suggest (though not always) that you are the best in that division..... and therefore deserve a place in the top 15.

as **** as it is, promoters have to push for a ranking rather than the ranking being handed out on achievement. i'm assuming moore and rhodes promoters don't really care for the wbo and have not pushed for a high ranking, whereas hall is promoted by warren
