Simple question. Which of Fury's significant wins will it surpass. Please take the poll and check every one that Makhmudov will displace as a top win.

I think it's safe to say to leave off Klitschko and both Wilder fights, so the choices are...

    Whyte
    Chisora 1
    Chisora 2
    Chisora 3
    Cunningham
    Wallin
    Kingpin Johnson
    Hammer
    Pianteta

Funnily enough, I actually think Big Mak would be a better win than the version of Whyte that Fury fought, who was unfortunately already shot after too many wars (evidenced also by his dire performances since the Fury fight).

    Probably just Pianetta and Johnson.

Many will say Hammer, but Hammer was a final eliminator. It was only after, all the **** Fury pulled in that fight got brushed under the carpet, that he gave up on being a contender and became the journeyman he is now known as

On the other, given that Fury didn't actually beat Hammer clean, maybe Makhmudov should rank higher

Certainly Pianeta, probably Johnson and Wach KO-victim Hammer. Makhmudov is a more dangerous fighter with a better top win (41 Takam, 2 KD UD), despite his limitations, and he was the first to drop Wach.

Incredibly sad list of "significant" wins.

If Fury can not beat a guy like Makhumudov at this point, he should just hang up the gloves.

I've never rated Whyte, a heavyweight who lost via uppercut every single damn time he lost. Dillian came in bloated with a joke of a game plan (southpaw, ffs) against Fury. Chisora 3 was pointless as well.

I mean most of them aren't significant.
Chisora 1 and 2 were OK.... the 3rd was a pointless cash grab
Whyte - no issue there he's done against everyone else regardless of peoples take on Whyte. He was strong, powerful and had beaten the likes of Parker, Helenius, Chisora, Browne.
Cunningham - a decent punching former cruiser welt belt holder.
Wallin - Became overrated off his performance against Fury. A tidy boxer but nothing else.
Kingpin Johnson - A round steeler, was actually a decent fighter who then just became an opponent.
Hammer - low Euro level, with a bit of dig had a couple of good Euro level wins Teper, Price probably about where I'd class Mak - who's beaten some names but very faded and while he can whack he's probably hit his ceiling but at least he carries some offense.
Pianteta - Come back no threat/

And then you have Makh, another comeback, should be no threat - just another bang average journeymen.

Say what you will about Makhumudov, it will still easily be one of Fury's best ten wins, if he wins.

I just realised you left off Ngannou!
I wouldn't mention it but you included Chisora 3.

Which says a lot about the state of Fury's resume.

Chisora 3 was obviously a cherry-pick for Fury, and Makhumudov stylistically may be harder for Fury to deal with.. but h2h I'd pick any Chisora version over Makhumudov.

If Fury for some reason struggles against Makhumudov, then I'd consider Chisora 3 a better win just based on how effortless it was for Fury.

I think that's broadly fair - Chisora, even old Chisora, was a solid enough gatekeeper win... Which Makh isn't - he's journeyman level, had some hype for a while but I that's died down.

    That Chisora easily beats Makh.

But Fury already knew he could beat Chisora and how he'd do it, since he'd already done it twice... And Fury was in decent shape at the time.

On anyone else's resume? That version of Chisora ranks significantly higher.
If Fury hadn't already beaten him at all? It ranks much higher for him too.
If Fury had only previously beaten him once instead of twice? It ranks higher than Makh.

But in this precise context, you do present a good argument.
