For beating Joshua? I’d still favor Dr Vitali Klitschko and Lennox over him and that is just recent Heavyweights.
Prime Wlad could beat him. I favor Vitali too. And other guys from the past have a chance too. Lewis, Foreman, Ali, Holmes. Seriously, too many to name.
He UDed Wlad while Joshua went life and death with him right after, I wouldn't downplay that win on Fury's record.
The division Isnt as good as the old days. So really whoever reigns will get beaten by the 70s boys and an 80s Tyson.
If he schools Joshua, Usyk etc then he'll be confirmed 2nd best British heavyweight ever. There simply isn't anyone around these days that will test him enough to prove he's the best british ever.
Fury is getting way to much credit for two good performances since his comeback against the same dangerous but extremely flawed fighter. If Fury was that good that Joshua didn't have a chance, why has Fury fought no other world level opponents since his comeback? Fury does pose Joshua a lot of issues, but if that is his only big wins, I think he'll be looked upon increasingly as a smoke and mirrors fighter, who was blessed with a stylistic advantage over his main rivals. The reason actually dominating a division is so impressive is because it means you're facing top fighters of all different styles, taking on guys with stylistic advantages.
This forum is so frustrating sometimes. The second coming of christ could come and he would be written off as a bum. Fury is a 6ft 9 once in a lifetime specimen. He moves like a welterweight, took it to and knocked out the hardest puncher in history of boxing. He went to dusseldorf and won so convincingly against an 11 year dominant champion with everything in his favour, against all odds that even the biased germans couldn't rob him! He beat a prime chisora twice who while not an elite would be considered a solid double win on a heavyweight of the pasts resume. But because he's a current fighter, will never get any credit for these wins. If he beats AJ convincingly then he will be an ATG. He has stopped some very tough men, and will be a mile ahead of anyone else in this era. There are very very few heavyweights ever who could have beaten the Fury who stopped Wilder. That was one of the most complete and one sided performances seen in the history of boxing in such a mega fight in the oppositions home country
So Fury could beat Wilder x3, Ruiz, Chisora x2, Wlad, Whyte, AJ x2 All dominantly, a league above. & you still wouldn't rate him higher than Lennox? You're delusional. Who the F did Lennox beat. If you're the GOAT by miles (which Fury clearly is) then there isn't going to be anyone to test you.
Lennox Lewis has been knocked out before, twice in fact. If Fury got hit with the Rahman and McCall shots, he gets up from both.
This is one of the main problems I have with Nandrolone Fury. He has only fought 2 guys in the current top 30 and only one guy ranked within the WBC top 15. To say that he beats all the rest of the contenders, is pure speculation at best. You actually have to prove that in the ring. Or at least you are supposed to prove it as a boxer. But Nandrolone Fury has convinced a lot of you that he "can or could" beat these guys without even fighting them. And that's a slippery slope because now he can walk through the division without actually fighting the best...and still gather support for his cowardice. It's a racket
