You're still not getting it here, mark. You're failing to grasp the glaring gap in the logic of your opening post. Discussing the how's and the why's of the fight results (AJ-Usyk and Foreman-Ali) does not alter the fact that your contention relied mainly on the totally discredited 'triangle theory' of boxing, discredited by the more widely accepted styles-make-fights idea. By your logic, there would be no need for a George Kambosos - Vasiliy Lomachenko fight. George doesn't' need to beat Loma...he beat Teo who already beat Loma. Styles make fights. I would favour Fury over AJ, and I would cheer for Fury in that fight, but if it doesn't ever happen, we would never know how it would have played out, and the Gypsy King would not have cleaned out the division. The big gypsy has a gruel-thin resume of world class heavyweights, and if he wants to cement his position in the pantheon of ATG heavies, his case would be greatly enhanced by collecting the third scalp of the big four who top the division in this era. This last bit is just so ludicrous that it doesn't merit a response.
