If Fury beats Wilder will he retire or fight Joshua? There is also the chance if he does win he will start eating crap drink loads of booze and bulk back up to 25 stone, so the chances of him fighting AJ are low.
Nah, I think he's got all that stuff under control now. If he does beat Wilder (which would be impressive given how long he was out for and the level of opposition he has fought since his return), then he'd be in line for a massive payday against Joshua. At least £20m. He ain't turning that down.
If he beats Wilder two times (there a rematch clause in their contracts) he will try to fight Joshua.
I don't know if Fury would fight Joshua if he beats Wilder, look what happened after he beat Klitschko he had the chance to earn millions in the rematch, Fury is unpredictable and i think he would avoid Joshua .
Fury has a history of cancelling fights even though rematch clauses are signed. We know from his past interviews that he despises the boxing business and only fights to "make enough money to live comfortably". He literally said he just wanted to cash out once more and would retire again once he feels the future of his family and kids is secured. He doesn't care about legacy. So yes, him retiring after winning against Wilder once or twice is a definite risk.
Logically he'd win the rematch if it happens and then fight Joshua for truly astronomical money but when has Fury ever been logical. One thing you can predict about Fury is that he's unpredictable. So anything could happen.
True. Fury could have fought Wlad in the rematch in front of his hometown fans as a solid favorite, make his highest purse ever. Then fight Wilder or AJ as lineal champion and command the lion's part of the purse. For some reason he never followed through. Logic and financial reasoning are not Fury's strengths, that much is obvious.
I suggest that if Fury by some bizarre cosmic chance beats Wilder the way he beat Wlad then he will party, get drunk and yell racist slurs at the media, repeatedly postpone the rematch, get popped for drugs, retire, and come back a year later a hundred pounds overweight.
