With glimpses of Orthodox when he wants a breather/set up an attack? What happens if Fury fights Usyk essentially 90% as a southpaw himself. Would this throw Usyk off, or throw the fight? Yes, I know he 99% most likely WILL NOT DO THIS! This is a hypothetical
Fury is a fighter who does different things but specializes in nothing he doesn't specialize in South Paw he will get wrecked doing that.
I think he will do his usual switch styling. But switching stances against elite fighters, ain't the same as doing it against pretenders. Ngannou is a good example of that. Turning southpaw against AJ didn't do him much good, right? Also Usyk don't have problems with southpaws so i don't see much reason for Fury to do much of it, except for the footwork and confusion. I guess we will find out in no time.
Furys always looked more vulnerable fighting south paw. It's a neat trick to bamboozle bad boxers like Chisora but I dont see why it would bother Usyk at all.
I would advise against it. It only works for him against inferior boxer's. His plan should be to fight aggressively and rough to break the smaller man down.
I don't like any of the choices, the answer is it won't make much difference...................this ain't a case of doing better or worse here. I don't think that tactic will really matter much.
No way he ends the fight if he fights full southpaw. I would say that he wouldnt even pass round 6. He is just too bad as southpaw.
No left hook to the body too important & need his footspeed with his jab. Usyk's feet are quick enough that he can just about negate Fury's reach...if Fury's drops his feetspeed switching stance he'll end up worse off. He could do it against Chisora who is a plodder not Usyk. Shifting and switching to close distance on a running Usyk - Yes. Although it's clear Fury has come slim to try and box long...we'll see how long that lasts. He loses rounds 1 & 2 he'll go after Usyk.
He may switch, but to fight the majority of the fight is suicide I think we will see him switch, but most of the fight will be him orthodox He's going to batter Usyk. You guys won't like it
