If Fury outboxes Wilder for 12 rounds, would you favor him over AJ?

Fury could get stopped by Wilder and i'd still favor him over Joshua.

Style make fights and Fury matches up better to Joshua than he does Wilder.

If he outboxes Wilder over 12 rounds then I'll be left with absolutely no doubt he'd do the same to AJ

    Nope.

    Different fighters, different styles.

I do actually think Fury has a style advantage over Joshua though and could be a nightmare for him but out boxing Wilder wouldn't make me think he has anymore of a chance than I did before.

Gerald Washington and Artur Szpilka have out boxed Wilder, its not a huge feat, it just seems that Wilder always catches up to his opponents and his power tells.

Joshua would be coming at Fury very different, Joshua is a lot stronger so would likely do better at limiting Furys movement and being able to get into a more effective inside fight. Joshua actually uses his jab whereas Wilder doesn't and that gives Fury more to think about.

Joshua is a lot better than Wilder technically, his punching is smoother, though I dunno if that's an advantage over him because Wilder seems to catch people with his unorthodox and unpredictable approach.

I think Joshua has a better boxing brain as well, he's been hurt a few times and seems to adapt very well. I'm. Not saying he definitely does better than Wilder can but it would be an entirely different fight.

Wilder will go in the ring headhunting which will make the job easier for Fury, Joshua will more than likely go for the body against fury which will slow down his movements for a late tko. No matter how elusive fury is, his body is going nowhere and it is there to be hit but I have never seen wilder go to the body. Both fighters are different in terms of punches in their arsenal.

No I don't. And the reason is, the Joshua that I saw against Povetkin changed my mind about this matchup. I see it as a 50-50 now, and I don't mean that it's a case of 'Joshua by KO' or 'Fury on points'. It could be any result. Joshua could edge Fury on points, I really do believe that scenario. Even Fury by KO, I wouldn't rule that out either.

The Joshua I see now is much improved, he's one of the most improved fighters of the past few years. And people seem to forget, this guy is a very good amateur. You don't win olympic golds unless you know how to box.

My judgement on who wins depends on Wilder vs Fury I think. Fury needs to prove a few things: 1. He wins (Obviously), 2. Shows stamina that is enough to keep up with the pace of the fight late on, something we currently have doubts about, 3. That he at least has a decent chin. In other words, don't get put down.

I don't care if he is rocked, as long as he isn't on the canvas, he passes that for me. If fury proves all of those 3 things, I think he edges Joshua on points. If not, I'm really not sure who wins. And if he doesn't do Number 1, then I think it's safe to say he doesn't beat AJ.

The chances of Fury coming back looking like he has in his last two fights, avoiding getting KO'd by Wilder then seamlessly fighting Joshua and beating him are so remote as to be ludicrous.

He's supposed to out box Wilder every round.

So no Wilder is not a technical fluid boxer , he's not a combo puncher or aggressive fighter so a big NO.

It has zero relevance to how Joshua approaches fights.

Lets just say the ludicrous happened, where would you place Fury? G.O.A.T status?

I agree, Fury will get knocked out by Wilder but Joshua should beat Wilder due to styles..

Depends how he looks. If he looks like the Fury that beat Wlad then yes I'd favour him to beat Joshua, movement gives Joshua problems but I still give Joshua a decent chance of upsetting Fury. We know when they sparred Joshua hurt him with an uppercut, so Joshua likely can get to Fury more effectively than Wilder but can he do it often enough to stop Fury before gassing?

Fury hasn't shown anything to prove he can do a thing with Wilder going by his last few fights. All I see is Fury getting flattened in two rounds, unless he proves me wrong in the fight. Its the same with AJ, until Fury shows what he has left there is really no reason to think he can beat these guys at this point.

This is why this fight is so nuts to me, you have one opponent where you have no idea how he is going to react at championship level after being an obese coke head for two years. This fight should have happened after Fury proved himself after fighting someone with at least a pulse. Its a joke in my eyes. I really hope he pulls it off but there no reason to think he will? he doesn't even have a proper trainer...
