Anybody who thought it was a boxing masterclass is in severe danger of overestimating the task at hand.

A 6ft 2 heavyweight, who has slow feet and moderate punching power.

Is his record impressive ? What was his best win before the first fight ? Vargas, Johnson ?

Top guys are supposed to outclass Ruiz.

Hearn felt comfortable parachuting him in late with good reason.

Bound to happen at some point as he's a good fighter but not a true elite. He boxed very well but I agree, I wouldn't say masterclass. His inside game was too weak for that

Its mainly the general forum (no surprise). The hate is embarrassing to be honest. I think the ‘non Joshua’ guys in here have been pretty balanced and without agenda

Fury and Wilder look to have a set way they fight. Joshua sort of occupies a middle ground. He’s closer to Wilder in the sense that he’s still looking to land big shots, (I think if Ruiz looked seriously hurt when one of the rights landed he’d have steamed in), but he rarely seems to be clearly outboxed. He won plenty of rounds against Klitschko, and in fights that went beyond halfway he was miles ahead of Ruiz (second fight), Parker, Povetkin, Takam and Whyte. Contrast that to Wilder who has been in some incredibly close fights until he found the off switch. I thought Wilder might push on after the Stiverne fight but Ortiz, Fury and even Washington have made him look so crude.

    What a pathetic post

How dare you use common sense to voice an opinion to die-hard boxing fans.

I am certain plenty on here claimed AJ couldn't fight like he did on Saturday.

I think what you mean to say is AJ is the more complete fighter compared to Wilder and Fury

    wins rounds
    Can KO opponents
    switch up styles

I can picture Nigel Farage using that exact same line on Thursday.

Talking of the Klitschko fight, I had it at least 5-5 or 6-4 Joshua at the time of th stoppage.

I thought Joshua won the first five rounds. This opinion seems to be in the minority.

Makes me laugh how much **** gets made up on here. Joshua threw 373 punches and landed 107, Fury threw 327 and landed 84.

    So not even close.

Wallin landed more punches on Fury than fury did against Wlad.

If Fury lands more than 100 punches against a live opponent expect another two year court case against UKAD.

Did you not watch the fight? Fury had a deep double cut above the right eye that seriously impeded his vision. Compubox stats are good for manipulating an argument but rarely give an accurate picture of the fight itself.
