If Fury vs Usyk happens, what Hrgovic and Zhang should do?

When Fury beats Usyk he will be stripped almost immediately by the IBF yet again and they'll let someone fight a stiff for their belt.

Probably something like what you just said. I don't see either one risking their title shot. Hrgovic waited practically an entire year before stepping back in the ring so don't be surprised if that happens again. I could see Zhang taking a risk, but he might be a bit wary of that considering someone taking a risk is what got him in his current position. So, yeah, expect to see them against the Agit Kabayel and Demsey McKean's of the world for a bit.

That said, you're prolly gonna see a lot of people knocking on Zhang's door specifically. Since he holds the WBO Interim belt there's a good chance he'll be elevated, because it's very likely that after undisputed one or both of them retire in just another fight or two. Same thing is prolly gonna happen to the winner of Charr/Miller.

 

There was some mention that Hrgovic could fight the winner of Gassiev vs. Wallin...

 

Watch. Both are mandatory for a belt so they will be in line for the winner.

 

They should fight a Schwartz / Seferi level opponent, everybody else at the top does.

 

They should rematch.

 

Unless there's a chance to fight AJ for huge money might as well wait it out.

 

A rematch would be cool, but lets be realistic neither are going to risk a loss before a title shot. A more likely scenario is they both get their shot and then they rematch if there's demand for it.

 

They are intentionaly sabotaged, at least Hrgovic, IBF has no mandatory for 4 years, an Hrgovic was denied fight against 12 or 13 top contenders, IBF allowed that, then "oredered" title shot, then pulled it back, for show. Hrgovic will never attack the title, it is not in the interest of federeations to have him as a Champion.

Zhang is one of the, if not the most powerfull fighter right now, and he is 40, he will not get his chance at the belt, and even if he does, he will do it before Hrgovic through WBC.

 

Chisora was desperate to fight Zhang. If I was him I'd take that fight. Easy money, keep busy and then fight for a belt next March.

Chisora's got a death wish but that's not Zhangs problem.
