If Fury can pull this off then i think he will become a boxing superstar, i honestly hope he wins because i think he can really get a lot of casuals involved and behind all the bs any interviews i have seen of him he is a nice lad, people shouldnt want Haye to win because he is only in it for money and will be retired by this time next year, surely we need as many stars to push the sport as possible, Fury if he wins will become the biggest boxing star in Britain, Froch has'nt the charisma to be as big as Fury, It's better for boxing if Fury wins
Of course boxing will be better off if Fury wins because he's an active fighter. I think ALL professional boxers are 'in it for the money', so I don't begrudge Haye his money or going out to make as much for himself as possible. The problem with Haye is the massive credibility gap he built for himself when he disrespected the whole of the heavyweight division and yet proved to be utterly inept and lacking in ambition when his big day arrived. He was an embarrassment against Wlad Klitschko. Not only that, he compounded the matter further with perhaps THE MOST PATHETIC excuse for a timid performance we've ever heard, and then the ridiculous "retired at 31" stupidity. Fury's a trash talker too, but it seems to be tongue-in-cheek and not taken too seriously ... and so far he's at least shown heart every time he's been in the ring, and hasn't come up with any embarrassing excuses. Haye is more likely to win though.
If he wins this ill have a lot of egg on my face. More like an omelette to be honest but ill come on here and accept it and ill also be owning up on my twitter account too cos I've said from day 1 he gets knocked out and gets knocked out whenever David chooses.. Ill be honest though the closer this is getting and the more I'm hearing the less confident I'm getting.
I still think haye is overrated especially at hw. I'm quietly confident fury will bring the tools to do enough . In honestly it's not fury has suddenly got to the elite it's more Hayes celebrity his inactivity his weight fluctuation and his desire, over the course of the years fury has Been getting fitter making lots of mistakes and learning from them also Haye will never earn this much again so if the going gets tough haye goes running. It's really a pickem fight and asking as the leave it all in the ring and give it there all it don't make much diffrence
I agree with everything you say. Fury speaks a lot and he does this to get attention and for people to speak about him. But behind the camera he's a really nice guy and loves a laugh. If he wins he will become an absolute star and somebody the casuals will love. Haye struggles with actual HW. Fury needs to box like he did againt Johnson and he can get himself a nice decision. If he gets on the inside he will face massive problems and will probs walk onto one of Hayes big punches. Said it since day one, I can see Fury winning this. He isn't no Valuev or Harrison.
