If Mickey wins , he Mived up in weight and beat a huge welter, undefeated, young, in his prime fighter. People seriously going to say this doesn’t warrant p4p #1 talk?

What matters is, P4P rankings don't mean jack ****.

If he beats Spence decisively, then you could argue he deserves that spot. Even if he loses, which he probably will, I'd very much like to see him against the Ali Trophy SLW winner; possibly Prograis or Baranchyk.

This. It would be a good win for Mikey, but other than beating Kell Brook Spence has done nothing noteworthy at 147.

I have him #3 right now behind Crawford and Canelo so he's in the running.

I agree, although that is how it will be. It would be a big deal.

He chose the wrong man if what he is chasing P4P. He should choose to fight Crawford.

If Mikey beat Loma, would people not consider him p4p#1? Spence is a much better win than Loma.

Loma is better than Mickey and would probably beat him at 135.

That said, if Mickey beats Spence, that would put him p4p #1 in my book.

And I think there's a good chance he will do just that.

He's an underdog in the Spence bout, but only a very slight underdog.

    Same with Khan and Crawford.

    Crawford is a slight favourite.

I wonder if any bookies are giving good odds on a double upset.

Of course not, you need more than one good win to have a claim for that spot. Everyone knows that Mikey hasn’t fought anyone while moving up. So he can claim that he’s a multiple weight champ but he hasn’t been the man in any division yet. Broner was also a multiple weight champion and we all know he’s a C grade fighter.
A win over Spence would be great and would put him in the top 5.

This guy has to be a Mexican-American prison rat. Only way to explain his irrational hard on for Mikey.
