If Gassiev came to America and put Wilder on his back, televised on HBO

    How much do you reckon this would do for his popularity? Wilder's not a household name, but American's seem to have a hard on for this guy who's made a living out of knocking out top 15 contenders.

    HW could get really interesting if that happens. By the way I'd pick Gassiev to do just that. Flatten Wilder.

    It's already much more interesting than it was during the Wlad days because Joshua is a much more exciting fighter. Parker is also pretty cool to watch.

    Gassiev is a monster.... He'd do great at HW.

    Anyone who thinks Gassiev wouldn't have a good chance at beating Wilder is delusional. Mediocre part time fighter Molina did this to him.

    Gassiev has a much better left hook, defense and punching arsenal in general.

    Man Gassiev is much sharper, tighter and explosive than Molina. He lands that left hook on Wilder and it's over. I really think Wilder goes down flat on his back and stays there.

    Gassiev can easily become as marketable as GGG in America. Maybe even more since he'd be a HW. Id love to see him chop down giants like Miller , Brezzele and Martin.
    Wilder is too dangerous and has the wrong style for him though. Bad match-up stylistically for Gassiev. Look how often he got hit with jab right hands from Dorcicos. Wilder will punch right through the high guard.

    Fortunately for him Wilder labored with the glass jawed Polish hooligan who himself is a blown up CW and not half the fighter Gassiev is.

    Maybe, but Gassiev is still developing his skills. He's relatively inexperienced. Look at how much he's improved in the just the last 2 years or so.

    Yet he didn't beat Dorticos easily and Dort would be laid out cold within 6 against Wilder. Lets be real here , your pick is based off the hate for Wilder more than an appreciation of Gassiev.
    Gassiev is good , possibly even great , but Supamen don't exist in this sport. Usyk has the style to beat Wilder , Gassiev doesn't

    Dorticos / Wilder is a 50/50 fight, but Gawsievs style is all wrong for Wilder. He wont be able to take that left hook from Murwat.

    We need to see Gassiev at HW before making such a claim. Wilder is a big fast powerful puncher at HW. If they were fighting this weekend instead of Wilder-Ortiz you would have to make Wilder the big favorite.

    And how do you know Gassiev would be able to take that powerful right hand from Wilder? If I had to bet I'd be willing to say Wilder has a better chance of standing up to Gassiev power than the other way around. After all Wilder is a HW and a hard hitting HW to boot.
