I think Golovkin will not waste any time figuring out El Pollo....................Golovkin can out box El Pollo and pressure him at the same time. When Golovkin lands his punches they will be much harder than El pollo's wing punches.............I think Golovkin should use his jab a lot to set El Pollo up, I think El Pollo will be missing a lot of feathers after a few rounds. Notice: It's a fact that Oscar will own the referee, judges, boxing commission and Bob Bennett will be cheer leading for El Pollo, doing the chicken dance. All El Pollo has to do is kick Golovkin in the testicles and Tony Weeks still stop the fight immediately....................kicking is illegal, but not for El Pollo. The judges, referee, boxing commission work for the promoter, Oscar and nobody else. Golovkin will have to go for the kill because of such...............it's a shame we can't have fair judging, fair referees, fair boxing commission, and watch Bob Bennett lie like hell! Another FBI investigation into fight fixing in Vegas needs to get started ASAP! Sen. McCain was correct when he tried to get a federal boxing commission to keep boxing honest, but everyone here has seen bad decisions, those decisions are not because the judges are ignorant, those decisions are because of who pays them......................

The jab will be key to GGG's victory. If he uses it like he did vs Lemmy, it's a GGG win. If Golovkin chooses not to use it very much, it will be a MUCH closer fight. A toss up at that point.

Canelo can counter the jab with the right hand over the top. Jacobs had good success countering GGGs power punches, but didn't have the fast reflexes and movement that Canelo has to counter the jab. If Canelo can shut down GGGs jab the fight swings hugely in his favor.

Canelo is slow on his feet. Only looks countering pothead Chavez and glass jawed Kirkland

Okay, Some of my views on this:

I agree with El Chicano and others that the jab is part of a winning strategy for GGG. Using it will keep him from giving rounds away. This is not a brilliant prediction however- use of a constant, strong jab is part of a winning strategy for nearly any fighter. Don't be surprised if Canelo also is jabbing more than usual. He, too, is a smart fighter and a student of the game.

I am personally interested in seeing whether we (those of us who watch fighters carefully) feel GGG has been holding back in recent fights- and whether comments about that topic start showing up at the conclusion of this match. I am not a big conspiracy theorist, but do feel he did whatever was necessary to get the match made. Looking less than invincible would certainly have helped.

I personally enjoy watching both of these fighters. This does not mean I have enjoyed how Oscar has handled Canelo. I believe that Canelo would rather have fought anyone instead of giving up his belt(s) and losing the respect of many fans. I think he's a fighter- and in the best sense of the term- as is Golovkin. Also, neither one of these is new to this or being fooled by anything surrounding the event.

What I hope for is a fight where we all have greater respect for both fighters afterward. Neither one is a dirty fighter in the ring. Both are good guys in the sport and probably in the balance of their lives. They are good for the game.

Yes. I fear bad scoring and biased refereeing. At the same time this fight will, and should be, really scrutinized by nearly everyone. I have sensed that many here are making doubly sure that they do their own job well and see this fight as fairly as possible. I take some pretty strong faith in opinions expressed here by serious posters. If either fighter is robbed, I bet most of us will agree upon it- and at a higher level than before.

Please post your best-thought-out opinions after this fight. I will read them.

(As it turns out I will be stuck out in the country on the weekend of the fight and may only be able to pick up a sketchy WIFI signal. Anyone with a good opinion of how to make the most of that, let me know.)

    We will see what happens.

You don't need quick feet to sit back and counter, just fast hands and reflexes. His feet are only a problem when plodding towards his opponent.
