He won the WBA interim title.

He could have very well become GGGs mandatory but chose instead to become the Commonwealth Champion for 5X the money.

    Thats business. :rofl

CEJ is a top 5 MW. :deal

Not positive if K2 is still looking for that fight next.

Theyre trying to work a deal to co-promote Khurtsidze and get him a shot at BJS or get GGG into a WBO eliminator for BJS soas to FORCE BJS to fight or vacate.

And Mendoza said GGG can fight Canelo next, or they would make a ruling on the WBA mandatory, Jacobs, Lara, or Callum Smith, with Blanco 4th in line.

CEJ should have fought Blanco if he wanted GGG next. :think

Mind you Golovkin Jacobs might be more competitive. I think GGG takes care of Eubank without too much trouble.

This! So many people are throwing around "duck" without knowing what it means. Unless Eubank is the mandatory to GGG and GGG avoids him IT IS NOT A DUCK! I feel like we should have a definition page so people understand this.

If Eubank wants it move into a mandatory position.

    This thread is utterly spasticated!!!

Eubank has no right whatsoever to claim to be being ducked, whatever terms Golovkin dictates. If GGG says jump, he should say how high, if GGG says bend over he should get his pants down. CEJ is a good fighter, a genuine top ten middleweight approaching his prime and a good challenger. However, he has not done anything to make him stand out from the other available contenders in terms of earning this fight.

If memory serves he is mandatory to Daniel Jacobs' WBA regular belt and IMO should really be going through that with the winner earning the right to challenge GGG. Credit where it's due to CEJ, because Jacobs (and anybody else for that matter) doesn't seem keen to try to force a GGG fight, he did the right thing. He stated that he wanted to fight and rather than making meaningless media talk, he got his promoter to get in touch and make serious negotiations. As a result of his proactivity he seems to have landed the fight. However, he has no leverage and it is up to him to accept GGG's terms.

I think there is a possibility that GGG will come to the UK if the price is right, it would be a good opportunity to further raise his profile in Western Europe. But let's not act like CEJ in his own right is some massive PPV, stadium sell out attraction. His big PPV appearances to date have been on undercards, whilst his headline fights have generally been on Channel 5 or Boxnation in smaller arenas.

More to the point, where does he mean by 'their home'? America, where he has been fighting lately? Germany, where he hasn't fought in years? Monaco?

Eubank jr has seriously good boxing ability but doesn't deserve the Golovkin fight.Hes been beaten and has no title. He has still to this date mainly fought domestic opposition other than Chudinov and that yank farce Jetter. Both offered pretty much little to trouble him,Chudinov only lasted longer.Sullivan gave him more of a test admittedly. But backward fighting Eubank jr does have to get past Tom Doran who has serious pop in his punches. Golovkin beats Eubank easily enough.

Exactly, for Eubank Jr. to get put in with Golovkin is nothing less than throwing him to the wolves, you'll never convince the OP of that though. He'll get KOd in double-quick time and be labeled a bum on this forum for the rest of his life. He's already been beaten by a guy who is avoiding Golovkin like the plague.

I was a big fan of Eubank Sr and like Jr but have a day off

What are you talking about? "Stay at home with their Paid ref and judges"
How many dodgy decisions has Golovkin had? Name one? When was it?

Also are you completely clueless? Hearn is making the offers anyway, it is all about what Hearn pays Golovkin to bring him here. It will be a PPV event of its here. Hearn will have to pay Eubank Jr too. So if Jr isn't happy with the offer then look at Hearn not Golovkin :blurp

Jr should be happy with the title shot, he had a title shot against Jacobs and walked away and went and fought for the British title :patsch

If you're just looking for an excuse to hammer Golovkin please think it through and be inventive.

It will be ppv in the uk....would do a million buys EASILY..because our ppvs cost 28-35 dollars.....plus eddie hearn would build the undercard up on such a big event....plus it would sell 50k high priced tickets aswell
