This thread is utterly spasticated!!!

Eubank has no right whatsoever to claim to be being ducked, whatever terms Golovkin dictates. If GGG says jump, he should say how high, if GGG says bend over he should get his pants down. CEJ is a good fighter, a genuine top ten middleweight approaching his prime and a good challenger. However, he has not done anything to make him stand out from the other available contenders in terms of earning this fight.

If memory serves he is mandatory to Daniel Jacobs' WBA regular belt and IMO should really be going through that with the winner earning the right to challenge GGG. Credit where it's due to CEJ, because Jacobs (and anybody else for that matter) doesn't seem keen to try to force a GGG fight, he did the right thing. He stated that he wanted to fight and rather than making meaningless media talk, he got his promoter to get in touch and make serious negotiations. As a result of his proactivity he seems to have landed the fight. However, he has no leverage and it is up to him to accept GGG's terms.

I think there is a possibility that GGG will come to the UK if the price is right, it would be a good opportunity to further raise his profile in Western Europe. But let's not act like CEJ in his own right is some massive PPV, stadium sell out attraction. His big PPV appearances to date have been on undercards, whilst his headline fights have generally been on Channel 5 or Boxnation in smaller arenas.
GGG has no other option's who else is he going to fight?

Canelo no
BJS no
Jacobs no
Quillin no

GGG should be bending over backwards to get such a fight as you fan's would claim to be easy work and huge cash incentive.

You fan boys claim no one wants any, and when someone puts a massive offer on the table if he turns it down flat that is shameless.

Don't look the gift horse in the mouth GGG, don't be cowards Team GGG.

I predict Taureano Johnsons phone to get a call asap

How can you claim he doesn't draw when all of his events have drawn good numbers regardless of being the so called undercard in most of them.

Really who was the true undercard CEJ vs BJS or Fury vs Chisora II, no one went to that fight to see Fury spank Del boy

If the fight is in the US then HBO and K2/Team GGG will be the pay masters, dictating venue, refs and judges etc

I don't see why GGG wouldn't want the fight to be in England where it would probably make the most money. Unless the money from casinos is just unreal to fight in Vegas, UK fans tend to turn out for their big domestic fighters like Eubanks Jr. ; so it only makes sense to fight Eubanks Jr in England where you can maximize his drawing power.

It's not like GGG has to worry about the judging or refs. He's levels above CEJ and will probably knock him out anyway. He's up to something like 22 knockouts in a row right now and besides power GGG clearly has better technique. Golovkin might as well knock him out in England as in America, especially since he has all of those European fans himself.

The only obstacle I can see to this not coming about is if the Eubanks Jr. camp wasn't serious with their offer or tried to ask for more money than they would bring to the table.

Did you watch that fight Rico, almost every round CEJ actually fought in he won. I like many others including 1/3 judges had CEJ winning.

CEJ had never been past 8 rounds then now he's been past it a few times and he has more seasoning. CEJ has done 12 rounds more times now than GGG in fact and he has the best gas tank in the business.

GGG has looked fatigued fighting sand bags too scared to fight back, if he gets in to a dog fight with CEJ he might be the one holding for dear life if CEJ can make the old boy fight at a pace he's not capable of fighting at.

You have to admire the confidence of James5000 in a twisted way. I think he really believes that CEJ could tool Golovkin

I don't deny that it would be a fun fight while it lasted, though.

Well, since you asked - you talk ****! GGG is the Champ and it's his call! Period! CEJ is nobody in the division atm. He wants to fight the champ (having done **** all to earn a shot) he does not make the rules!

P.S. When Fury wanted a title shot- he went where the Champ wanted! And won his titles... So, use the example!

I can't argue with the point you make that the champ should dictate the fight in most cases.

GGG could stay home in the US and stand his ground if he wanted to and many would agree with that. GGG is kind of a special case though, he has to live up to a higher standard than most other fighters because he has more potential. He's kind of in a situation now where he has had too many stay busy fights so he has to start delivering bigger fights, and CEJ is probably the biggest available to him. Turning down a fight because he may not want to travel doesn't look good for a guy who says anyone, anytime, anywhere.

In fairness to all the GGG fan's he actually hasn't turned the fight down and he still will most likely travel if the option stands. I just have a gut feeling he wont do it, and it will be disappointing not to see it because it would be a great fight IMO.

Paid ref? Golovkin does not foul, he is one of the cleanest fighters in the sport, second only to Loma.
Paid judges? When did any GGG opponent ever get robbed? You're being ridiculous.

It is his choice, as he holds the belts. You want them - you either make yourself mandatory or you travel... BTW - apparently Hearns said he's agreed financial terms with GGG for a UK fight. Still waiting for the other party... Hope they make the deal and we get the fight!

James you're incredibly transparent. The topic of your thread should have been: if CEJ doesn't fight in Brittain with their paid ref and paid judges, he has no chance against Golovkin. But since best defence is good of fence, you try to turn it Topsy turvy, like a guy that farted and then is loudly asking who did it while holding his nose.

Paid judges? Has Golovkin ever been the beneficiary of a dubious decision?

He was very careless against DL though. Another ref may have DQ'd him for hitting a downed opponent.

GGG-Jacobs or GGG-Saunders. Those are the fights that I want to see. Anyone else and it's Wilder-Arreola at a lighter weight.

I agree with the two fights you mentioned! Want them both! Ideally next week!
