TBH i am not going to lie, CEJ has a much greater chance in the UK then the US. In the US he has only a small chance of winning, in the UK he has a better one but will still be a big underdog.

Paid ref and judges aside, the whole atmosphere will favour CEJ, from the familiarity of the venue and the comfort of training and living at home or at least in familiar surroundings. Not to mention the home crowd, some fighters get a lot of energy from a crowd, I think Eubank jr is the type of personality that would thrive on the biggest stage with a rabid home crowd.

This is brilliant lad I am in tears laughing. And for the avoidance of doubt I am no fanboy of either, I like CEJ and really admire the fact he has taken steps to put himself in the firing line and try to get the fight when others (BJS, Lara) talk to the media and yet wet out when the fight is actually offered. But realistically, fighters who have the same or better credentials than CEJ and who GGG has not yet beaten (and who are not ducking him)

    Lee
    Quillin
    Soro
    Johnson
    Heiland
    N'jikam

    Fighters who are ducking him:

    BJS
    Jacobs
    Canelo.

Like I said I admire Chris's guts but resume wise he has nothing to commend him over several other guys. And if you really think that CEJ is a PPV draw because he fought on the undercard of a PPV bout then I guess the same logic applies to Conor Benn.....

I am so glad you addressed my whole post :good

I'm slightly confused, what are you saying?

Forget the rest of the waffle, are you saying If the fight doesn't happen its because of Golovkin?

There is a thread in the British section documenting tv ratings for various fights in the UK and Eubank jr had a few on free tv (like vs Blackwell) that had tremendous view rates. Viewing rates comparable or better than what GGG gets in the US and the UK market is far smaller, (tbf HBO isn't exactly free tv, but its relatively low cost and US seem to have to pay for everything).

Eddie Hearn thinks GGG vs CEJ will be a legit ppv smash and he's the one forking out the dough, I don't think HBO or K2 have the same faith in GGG to draw at this stage especially after the flop of the Lemieux fight.

Hearn is "forking out the dough"?

so in your original post how is Golovkin going to low ball Jr?

If the fight is in the UK then the main promoter would be Hearn/Matchroom/Skysports, if the fight is in the US it will be Loeffler/K2/HBO.

If GGG chooses not to go to the UK then K2 could make an offer to stage the fight in the US.

Firstly I'm a Brit born & raised & love England even though my home has been the USA since 1985. But if GGG goes to the UK its Gennady that would be fighting CEJ the ref & the judges. He'd have to KO CEJ 3 times to get a draw:patsch
In GGG-CEJ its Gennady to call the shots not CEJ GGG is the A side. Though GGG will KO CEJ no matter where they fight

I honestly think more people in the UK would be cheering on GGG. Eubank Jr isn't all that well liked over here
