If they each fought one another in a round robin format, fighting twice each. Who would win?

    Ward vs Kovalev x2

    Kovalev vs GGG x2

    GGG vs Ward x2

1 point for a win, 0 points for a loss. Who comes out on top?

GGG said he can't get people to fight him at 160 why don't he move up to 168 like adonise did when no one wanted to fight him 168. If he's so great of a fighter as you guys claim he is, he should move 168 where there are plainty of guys willing to fight him. Bernard Hopkins moved 2 wight classes to beat Tarver at very old age. He didn't make any excuses about ooh Antonio is to big. And, we are talking about an old man here.

GGG and Kovalev are definitely no Bernard Hopkins.
    Ward approaches Hopkins skill level.
I would have loved to see Ward fight Hopkins right after the Super 6 ended when Hopkins was still somewhat "young". Would have been a better match then this round robin above. :yep

    What weight?

At 168 or 175, Ward comes out on top without a loss.

Ward whips them both without trouble.

    Does he ****.

Kovalev is too big and too strong here. Either Ward outboxes him or Kovalev overpowers him.

    GGG has no chance.

Right now it's impossible to say...Ward is so much more proven against top opposition that relying on resume has to put him in front (absolutely against GGG as the smallest of the guys - less so against Kovalev in the heavier division but with similar success).

The problem we have here (and with making comparisons amongst any unbeaten fighter) is that none of the three has really had their limits tested - so we really don't know what any of them could do if really stretched.

Both Kovalev and Ward of course were pushed hard and dropped early in their careers by Boone, but have looked next to invincible since, similarlly Golovkin has seeemed almost effortlessly unstoppable since the Ouma fight...none of these guys has lost more than a coupla of rounds in years.

Any prediction based on resume has to be with Ward, any based on the eye test is so subjective and speculative as to lack much weight.

The only reasonable choice is option #1. Kovalev is unable to over power Ward. Over powering opponents is Ward A game and Kovalev would very likely be the one who gets bullied.
Ward outboxes him with possible TKO due to cuts ala Kessler. :yep

Hopefully we get to find out. I think Ward has a lot harder time with Golovkin than he does with Kovalev. Kovalev does not have a good inside game, he is like Froch where his center of gravity is very high and he needs distance to get his power. The only difference between Kovalev and Froch is Kovalev has better feet and more power - so its still a dangerous fight where Ward cannot make mistakes. But when they were sparring, the way GGG got to Kovalev was working inside and the Krusher had issues dealing with that.

For Golovkin, Wards more typical style of moving in to smother hard punchers is not going to be effective. Golovkins center of gravity is too low, and he is too good at keeping his arms free and pushing people off. Ward has to play Rigo vs GGG and outbox him. This should be do-able for Ward, but still also very dangerous.

Your resume does not fight for you. Boxing is not Pokemon. Having beat more competition does not mean you get to summon additional boxers to come to your aid. These are all interesting fights that should be made at some point.

Is there something wrong with losing to Dawson. I know you guys have short memory but Dawson was very good fighter with victory against though old but good opposition. His victory over Adameke was a very good victory. Nowadays its become popular on this forum to make fun of the guy. Adameke is good fighter who has gone all the way up to heavyweight. In fact you should be giving Bernard Hopkins credit for still being able to stay relevant at this age.
